It was inevitable. The man who once had astronomical approval figures is now feeling the effects of having voters realize what he’s actually all about.
Daily tracking polls will fluctuate day to day obviously, but this is the first time that Rasmussen’s daily poll has shown that more voters strongly disapprove of the job Barack Obama is doing than approves. These are voters folks, people who may actually be paying attention to what Obama has been doing since January. I’ve said before that most people don’t pay close attention to politics, but for those who do, Obama is in deep…water.
What could be the cause of his disapproval? He still has the media in his pocket. In fact, ABC handed over the airwaves (public airwaves folks) to Obama in order to push the socialized healthcare debacle. A NewsWeek hack has raised Obama to the level of God. Chris Matthews still gets shivers down the leg. Billboard companies are refusing to run WMD’s “provacative” Where’s the birth certificate” ad, while at the same time running soft porn Calvin Klein ads. Actually, the media may be propping up his falling approval numbers. Apparently, they’re having a more difficult time doing it. But even with all that wind in his sails, Obama’s numbers continue to fall.
Could it be the disastrous cap and trade proposal, that would amount to a tax on all Americans? How about the cigarette tax on those “dirty” Americans? Could it be the “unspecified taxes” in the house socialized healthcare bill that Obama wants on his desk now? That tax cut for 95% of Americans turned out to be false.
What do you know, so did the pork laden stimulus bill. Joe Biden will tell you what a flop it was. Then there were the bailouts that nobody wanted. Nobody but Wall Street, and Obama handed your money right over. Call it a future tax, because you will pay for it.
We could just go down the list, the multiple “America sucks” tours he’s conducted, the overall foreign policy weakness, his appeasing of dictators and bashing of allies, his open contempt of Israel-and let’s not forget the icing on the cake: he still hasn’t produced a birth certificate, or any other documents for that matter that proves who he his. He spending a lot of dough to keep his life a secret.
What is known about Barack Obama is not very appealing. Voters are starting to notice. Even the hated George Bush took years to reach this point. Obama has pulled it off in a matter of months.
I think that you pretty much covered all of the reasons that his approval ratings are falling. Americans who are paying attention are very scared with all of the spending, we know that the money is going to come from somewhere and it will be us who pays.
It turns out that 95% of the people are going to get a tax increase, but nobody really believed that 95% of Americans wer going to get a tax decrease did they?
