I don’t think this was the plan. After all the hard work, the blood, the guts, the sacrifice, it looks like China may become one the main beneficiaries of the Iraq war.
While America spirals into almost insurmountable debt, China is bidding on Iraqi oil fields in an effort to get a piece of action from the 3rd largest oil reserves in the world. And they have the cash to do it. It happens to be American cash. We know that the American dollar isn’t what it used to be on the international market though, so while China steps over American bodies on their way to the oil fields, they are floating an alternative currency scheme to take the place of the dollar in the international market.
So what effect do you think that will have on the dollar? A common, international currency to replace the dollar. The less a dollar is worth, the more you will need to buy anything. That’s bad news for Americans. Couple that with the fact that the Fed is printing money like it’s going out of style (and in fact, it may be), and you just have an acceleration of the dollar’s decline.
Meanwhile, China is (very wisely), cornering a significant chunk of the world oil market while holding nearly a trillion dollars in U.S. debt. Combined with a lethal combination of currency manipulation, outsourced jobs, the stolen technology, and the profiteering with the manufacture of cheap knock-offs of legitimate products, and you have America waving goodbye as it goes over the falls.
Does anyone else see something wrong with this picture? What happened to the days of protecting American interests? In case anybody ever wondered what that term meant, I’ve just outlined a few of those interests here…
