Technically the face smashing taxes are directed towards the rich, but how do you think the job creators in this country will offset this? That’s right, they’ll pare off jobs at the bottom, the very people Barack Obama claims to represent. Well, at least they won’t owe any federal taxes.
House Ways and Means committee tax cheat Charlie Rangel has proposed a surtax on so called rich people to help pay for the bloated government run “healthcare” boondoggle. Couple that with the expiring tax cuts and jacking up of the payroll tax, and you have tax rates that are about to spiral. That doesn’t include the cap and trade that will add to the pain. At a time when America can least afford to have their pockets picked, the Democrats are going after every penny they can extract.
So what do you think that “rich” CEO making 200 or $300 thousand a year will do? Let’s see, lop off some jobs at that lower end and give themselves a bonus to cover the tax hike. Does that sound like a plausible scenario? Or maybe they’ll just absorb the tax hikes and do it for the team. What do you think?
Or how about this scenario: This is all just a transfer of wealth to the privileged few. Companies will start laying off workers as the brass give themselves bonuses to offset the taxes. Then they come to the government to help save their shrinking companies. The government bails them out, and they take the money, recreate the jobs that the taxes killed, and offshore the recreated jobs to a cheap labor country. Wealth successfully shifted, and the average Joe will end up paying for all of it. That’s assuming the average Joe is still working. This scheme will no doubt cause even more job losses. What part of recession do the Democrats not understand? Those bunch of crooks in Washington know better than anybody that there are many ways for the rich to hang on to their money, much of it involving job destruction.
Utter stupidity, or wealth transfer? I’m going with a healthy mix of the two.

Private companies don’t have shareholders.
It is amazing to me that so many people do not understand that it is the little people that will end up paying for ANY tax increases to Any income level. Between some losing their jobs and the increased costs being added to the price of the products it is us who will get screwed again. So many people want to stick it to the man they don’t even realize the man they are sticking it to is themselves.
I said companies, not corporations. Yes, Billy Bob can issue preferred shares in his s corp, but since preferred share holders have no voting rights, Old Billy can vote himself a bonus if he wants. This post is not a lesson in various business entities and how they are set up. Once again, we’re splitting hairs and going off on a tangent. I’m not going to dissect anymore of it.
larrys, what’s your game? This isn’t some big time blog with thousands of readers. You want to turn some heads? Try Gateway Pundit’s blog. Those guys will jump into a steel cage with you. If you think I’M wrong, then you’ll have a ball over there. There are many other blogs that draw far more readers than I do. So why here? I’m sure there are plenty of people out there that would be happy to nitpick semantics with you. Not me. See my disclaimer on the right.
Some of your comments are long enough to qualify as a blog post. Why not go the extra mile and start your own blog?
company
Definition
Any entity engaging in business, such as a proprietorship, partnership, or corporation.
Yes it is a legal term-round and round we go on a tangent again. I ask you again: What’s your game? You’re only dealing with a few people here. What’s your goal, what’s your purpose? Do you know how many people saw this post today? You and me. Maybe Goodtimepolitics. 6 billion people on the planet and maybe 3 people saw these comments today.
This is my ship, so whether it sinks or floats is my fate. You, on the other hand seem to be wasting your skills here. Look at those comments. Those are bonafide blog posts. You could potentially be reaching more people than you do here. If you really feel you have something to say, then take my previous advice. You’re wasting a lot of energy here.
You’re wrong mr. lawyer. Company is a legal term. It does not indicate a specific type of business entity, but it is a legal term, as opposed to conducting business, which doesn’t require a business entity to exist.
And that “If I reach one person” speech is just bullshit. I ask again, what’s your game?
larrys: “So why are we supposed to be so damn scared of making high-income people FINALLY pay their fair share of taxes?”
Top 50% of Wage Earners Pay 96.03% of Income Taxes
The top 1% is paying more than ten times the federal income taxes than the bottom 50%! The bottom 50% is paying a tiny bit of the taxes, so you can’t give them much of a tax cut by definition. Yet these are the people to whom the Democrats claim to want to give tax cuts. Remember this the next time you hear the “tax cuts for the rich” business. Understand that the so-called rich are about the only ones paying taxes anymore.

How about that larrys, do you want to keep begging for more handouts from the top 50% of wage earners?
larrys did you know that its the top 50% of the American people that creates jobs? Did you also know that if you raise taxes on that 50% that they will pass that cost on down to the lower class and even to the poor on food stamps!
I was just a the store and brought a pack of sunflower seeds that cost .50 cents yesterday and that same pack of seeds cost .69 cents today, a .19 cents increase. Companies are already feeling the inpact of the Obama policies!
I agree with that definition. You said it wasn’t a legal term. Yes it is. n. any formal business entity for profit. And around we go.
Larry you’re a pointless troll. I don’t blame Goodtimepolitics for blocking you. Get lost you jerk.
All larrys is trying to do is tear down your blog so you won’t get any viewers. He’s been spamming my blog two three times a day calling me moran and racist and I see now he has started on you.
I couldn’t take him anymore. As you see, I welcome opposing viewpoints and I’ll debate anybody. He took advantage of the courtesy I extended to him. I opened this blog to good healthy debate, and he turned it into a grade school chat room. He’s obnoxious, abusive, and just argues for the sake of arguing. He has no point. Must be the lawyer in him. I’m surprised you are as calm as you are considering the things he said to you. He was making ME angry with the kind of trash he was throwing at you. I blocked him. I think you’re right. I think he turned off some readers. Maybe that’s his game. Anyway, he’s gone.
