Sarah Palin Hounded Out The Door

Even as she leaves office, the attacks continue. The knee-buckling fear of the looney left that Palin might actually rise to a position of power has sparked an assault that is as much comical as it is sickening.

So what did Sarah do this time? She tried to raise money to defend herself from the other bogus charges that turned out to be-bogus. None of the frivolous charges thrown at her amounted to squat, but her legal bills are a different story. She has 500,000 reasons to try and raise money. Apparently she lent her name to a fund that was established to raise money for her legal bills. That’s the alleged violation. It also looks like the attacker may have been the one violating ethics policy by leaking the story in the first place. It’s apparently okay to file bogus charges against someone and violate the law yourself in the process, but the defense has to come out of your own ass if you’re the governor. Now Palin is being charged with accepting gifts, apparently in violation of Alaskan law.

Yes, it’s ridiculous. Almost as ridiculous as the last bogus charge. That involved a complaint that Palin wasted taxpayer money by giving media interviews. I shit you not. That was one of the complaints. Of course it held no water, but it cost Sarah Palin money to defend herself. Sure, supporters set up a fund for her. The loons that are so petrified of her are claiming that the funds are a gift.

Palin had no choice but to resign. She couldn’t do her job with the non-stop attacks. And they were non-stop. And where is the Republican support? Could McCain have won any states without her? They’re leaving her to twist in the wind. All she has is grass roots support. But you can be sure, that if Sarah Palin does indeed go on to do bigger and better things, she’s going to remember who her friends and enemies were, and who sat on the sidelines in her time of need.
