New York Shipping Out The Homeless

It looks like the big apple wants to make homelessness your problem, not theirs. All you need is someone to take you in. They’ll pay you to get the hell out of town. What homeless person would turn down cold, hard cash?

If you do the math, the city is saving bundle, to the tune of $36,000 a year. Not all of these folks are put on a bus either. Some are actually shipped off to other countries. Anything to get them out of town. What compassion, eh?

Obviously this does nothing to solve the homeless problem, and would only be feasible (from a New York standpoint) if a relative is willing to take in an entire family. sure, some may do it out of the goodness of their heart, even if they don’t have the room. That’s good enough for New York. Kick the can down the road. So what is the new home city of these down on their luck folks supposed to do with them? It’s not like there’s a stimulus to help jump start the economy.

So we have illegal aliens being trucked in on the West coast, Americans being shipped out on the East coast, and the heartland of America dying. Yes, out elected officials really have their heads screwed on. I once had a professor say, regarding what society considered “successful” people, “you think these people are better than you, you think these people are smarter than you? They’re not. They’re just willing to do things you wouldn’t do. Sure, the city will save money, but what do you think they’ll do with it? It’s painfully clear what they did with the truckloads they had. Who will pocket that money that would have gone to homeless families? Things you wouldn’t do indeed.
