Sheila Jackson Lee Astroturfing In Overdrive

Sheila, Sheila, what are we going to do with you? I have a suggestion: 2010 is just around the corner…

While Republicans are being accused of astroturfing, although there is no evidence that town hall protesters are just a bunch of Republican bus-ins (once again, independents have been shoved to the back of that bus until 2012), Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) has taken the term to a new level, a teaching moment if you will.

In an appearance on Greta Van Susteren’s Fox News program, Lee came clean on who she was on the phone with during a recent town hall meeting. Or did she? If you’re not familiar with the incident, during one of Jackson’s town halls, while a speaker was letting her views be known, Lee fielded a call from her cell phone. Just the fact that she couldn’t turn her phone off for the duration of the meeting was rude enough. But it gets better.

She tells Greta that the call was from some kind of hot line that helps hacks answer the questions from town hall attendees. Waaaait a minute? How do you answer a question that hasn’t been asked yet? If the info she was allegedly getting from this hot line was not in regards to what the lady in audience was asking, then Lee was ignoring her constituents.

The BS doesn’t stop there. In another town hall, Lee took a question from someone who claimed to be a concerned doctor. Turns out that this person wasn’t a doctor at all, but an Obama delegate who was invited to the town hall be yet another Obama minion who sports a Che Guevara poster in her office. Yeah.

Astoturfing, lies, misinformation? Mix in a little hippie Marxisn. Well, it turns out to be all true. However, it is the Democrats who are the guilty party. What ever happened to the Democratic party that stood up for the working Joe, that made sure that the system wouldn’t be monopolized and that all Americans could have an opportunity to succeed? Not socialism, just keeping the field level. Do you see that in this party now?
