Obama’s Ramadan Rant

Well, that’s it. This guy is disconnected from reality. Some of the statements this guy made, like those in the Cairo speech, will knock you off your chair.

Barack Obama once again bowed to Islam with a blessing to all Muslims on behalf of the American people. Not sure what American people those were. He somehow connects the rituals of Ramadan with principles we all hold in common (not sure what principles he is referring to), and Islam’s role in advancing justice. Hey Barry, did you hear about that woman in Malaysia that was caught drinking a cold brew? She’s going to be caned. under Sharia law. Is that the kind of justice you mean? He mentioned progress. Yes he did, progress and Islam in the same sentence. Like the Taliban chopping fingers off voters? Like Iran gunning down citizens in the street? You mean that progress? What about tolerance? He mentions tolerance and Islam in the same sentence. Like that little girl in Ohio that ran away from home because she was afraid that her family would kill her for daring to reject Islam and turn Christian on them? It happens. It happened in Buffalo. Remember the guy who chopped off his wife’s head in an honor killing? Are we talking about the same religion here?

Obama mentions faith-based organizations that have stepped it up in these hard times. Yes, that includes Muslim organizations. Do you think they’re helping anyone other than Muslims, Barry? I seem to remember Christian organizations being booted out after the tsunami in Asia a few years back-because they were Christian. Yes, they would rather see their people die than to be aided by Christians.

Now Obama says we’re keeping to our responsibilty to build a world that is safe and secure by getting out of Iraq, and ramping it up in Afghanistan. I thought he was going after Bin Laden? Must have mis-heard him during the campaign. Or maybe he was just tired and mis-spoke. 57 states is a lot of ground to cover.

Of course what Muslim love fest would be complete without a dig at Israel. He mentions that we have an unyielding support for a two state solution in the Middle East. Once again, not sure who he means by we.

One little thing at the end, that may not be much but…Obama mentions collaboration in science and technology. What technology? Nuclear? What possible science and technological advances could any Islamic country possibly have to offer the United States? Just an observation.
