Baucus Compromise Will Empty Your Pockets

The wonders never cease to amaze. Just when you thought the Democrats had done everything conceivable to piss you off, they come up with something new.

The latest baseball bat aimed at America’s kneecaps comes from Max Baucus (D-Montana), who is proposing a penalty for not buying health insurance. This idea had been floated previously, but Baucus has put some teeth into it. Baucus wants to hit Americans with fines up to $3800 for failing to buy acceptable health insurance. This jackass has thrown in a tax credit scheme to try and soften the blow, and he’s going to tax insurance companies to help pay for that.

Well, what happens when you tax insurance companies? That’s right they roll the costs down to you, just like any other business. With Baucus’ plan, the fears of rising health care costs will be realized, and the case for a government option will be made. Of course, the entire crisis was manufactured by the government who couldn’t keep their hands off the private sector.

Hey Max, why don’t you nitwits stop paying $5000 for wheelchairs, $100 for bandages, $1000 for a box of syringes, you dolt. Let me in there, I’ll show you how to cut costs. But you don’t want that, do you Maxy? You want the single payer nightmare that will punch a hole so big in the economy that there will be no way to recover. All the while, you and your cronies will be on your congressional health plan, separate, but far from equal.

Well, you can forget it Baucus, because the American people aren’t falling for it. And if you want to send your colleagues to the unemployment line in 2010, just go ahead and try to ram this mess through. What your gasbag messiah has been plugging all summer is bad enough; we don’t need your input. In fact, the Democrats don’t need your input, They’re shooting themselves in the foot just fine without you.
