It makes sense. Considering how bad Harry Reid is looking in the polls, he’s going to need every vote he can get.
Senate Republicans are looking for an investigation into the activities of ACORN in light of the recent video revelations from Hannah Giles and James O’Keefe, two kids posing as a prostitute and a pimp respectively that exposed graphically what we already knew. Their hidden cameral expose’ was less of a bombshell to those that already know what ACORN is, but now the rest of the country knows. Once again though, like Nancy Pelosi and John powers that be Conyers before him, an investigation into this corrupt organization is being blocked, this time by Harry Reid (D-Nev.). Citing more important things to attend to, he mananged to find the time to send a letter out to the 28 Republicans who requested the investigation and essentially gave them the senatorial finger.
Could we expect anything less from Reid? After all, an extreme left fraud like ACORN is just the type of vote fraudsters that someone like Harry Reid would want registering new voters, be they alive, dead, or concocted out of thin air. Senator David Vitter (R-LA) isn’t standing for the rebuff though and is pursuing it further, asking the Justice Department to investigate. What he could possibly expect Eric Holder to find is beyond me, but it does point to the fact that ACORN is but a part of a much larger problem. Are you telling me that the guy that felt stick wielding thugs at polling places committed no crime, while at the same time on a crusade to make sure that CIA agents that poured water on terrorists go to jail is going to take down ACORN? The best bet might be having local agencies in various cities and states conduct their own investigations However, as in the Black Panther case they may be summarily left off the hook no matter what kind of new revelations pop up. After all, every road ACORN is on lead to the White House. Besides, although new revelations would be icing on the proverbial cake, to go with what is already known should be enough to send some of ACORN’s top squirrels to prison. We just need a congress and/or an administration that is not in bed with ACORN to do it.
Bringing ACORN to their knees, or even to their demise would be a devastating blow to the socialist, racist, corrupt cancer that has infected not only Washington, but the rest of American itself. The recent videos made that painfully clear. How can we expect this congress, or even this administration, who is so intertwined with ACORN you can hardly tell them apart, to do anything?
Political suicide for Harry Reid? Probably not at this point. If the polls are any indication, he’s on political death row already.

I think Reid is making a mistake in not putting the screws to ACORN. However, I heard some talk of Nevada’s demographics may have changed (California folks moving in). There may not be any truth to it. But I was looking at the House vote on ACORN.

And not a single Nevada house member voted in ACORN’s favor. This ought to tell Reid something. I dont think there’s an ACORN office in Nevada & there’s no black caucus members in Nevada to advocate for ACORN.
Nevada looks very red on that map. How did Reid even get elected in the first place?
The Democrats are trying to make this go away well before the 2010 election. We can’t let them. Hopefully Republicans will use this to remind voters of the fraud the Democrats are involved in. This could cost Democrats more votes than ACORN is able to manufacture.
I hear there are some saying that the amendment to cut off ACORN is unconstitutional. Unbelievable. You would think that people would be running for their political lives.
