Bush Blamed For Botched Olympic Bid

Courtesy M.T.'s BloggerYou heard it right. If you happen to be incapable of doing anything right in politics, just use the old liberal tactic of blaming somebody else, thereby assuring that the problem will never be corrected. Welcome to another episode of blame Bush.

Barack Obama went to Copenhagen where once again he threw America under the bus. Unwittingly though, he threw Chicago under that same bus. In an effort to bring the 2016 Olympics to Chicago, Obama set aside the most pressing issues facing America today in order to leave a giant carbon footprint and fly to Denmark to try and use his shyster charm on the International Olympic Committee. Apparently, Obama is unaware that his “charm” has long since worn off, and he is seen around the world as the narcissistic neophyte that he is. The double barrel presentation from Obama and first lady czar Michelle clearly had little impact on the committee, and Chicago was bounced out of the first round. The bid was ultimately awarded to Rio De Janeiro. Congrats, Rio, although, the scumbag that runs Brazil shouldn’t have the Olympics in his back yard anymore than Obama should.

A stunning embarrassment? Not to the objective, not to the informed. With falling poll numbers, a rock solid Democratic majority in the house and senate that are having a hell of a time ram-rodding health care reform down the throat of America, Marxists lauding him, enemies giving him the finger, allies extracting themselves from under his bus, and unemployed Americans now finding out what change really means, Obama arrived in Copenhagen with more than a little tarnish on that empty suit.

But according to Roland Burris, the low-life appointed to Obama’s vacated senate seat by Rod Blagojevich under more than suspicious circumstances, it wasn’t Obama’s fault at all that the Olympics aren’t coming to chicago. In fact, according to Burris, the blame lies with George Bush. That’s right, Bush raked up so much anger and hatred over the course of the last 8 years, that the IOC apparently still had some pent up anger at the U.S., so much so, that Chicago was bounced in the first round. This, coming from a guy where the circumstances of his senate appointment are so cloudy that he won’t be running for the office in the next cycle.

Don’t get me wrong; there are plenty of things to blame George Bush for. Chicago not getting the Olympics is not one of them. This was an attempt by Obama to use his assumed star power in an effort to wow the IOC committee and bully the Olympics onto Michigan Avenue. It didn’t work. Now Obama comes back to the U.S. with his tail between his legs, no doubt hating the country even more than he did before. Well, maybe he could lobby to get the Special Olympics to come to Chicago. Hell won’t be freezing over anytime soon, so it looks like that idea is a no go as well. Oh well, nice try Barry. Now get back to work.
