Fox Courting Lou Dobbs?

CNN is a sinking ship, and if this rumor turns out to be true, this would be a hole that would swallow Wolf Blitzer.

Rumor has it that CNN anchor Lou Dobbs was spotted having dinner with Fox chief Roger Ailes. The speculation is that CNN is very unhappy with the honest and hard hitting reporting of Dobbs, and even to their own ratings peril are looking for a way to dump him.

That would be perfect for Fox. There is talk they want him for the Fox Business, and with Dobbs’ business background would make a potent addition. His knowledge and insight into the economy could propel Fox to the front of the business pack.

This is all speculation, and Dobbs is still under contract with CNN, but you can’t hide in public anymore, what’s obvious is obvious. If this thing happens, that already tilted ratings may relegate the other cable news outlets to joke status. With White House communications director and Maoist hack Anita Dunn already admitted that the Obama administration is spooning propaganda to the various networks. And they’re eating it up. Not Fox though. With a triple threat of Dobbs, Beck and O’Reilly, it’s no wonder Keith Olbermann seems a little more shaky, a little more unhinged these days. Depending on the time slots, something like this could destroy him. What a shame that would be.

A lot is happening in this country right now. The last thing we need is to have someone the caliber of Lou Dobbs handcuffed by the likes of CNN, whose idea of news is fact checking Saturday Night Live skits. If I were Dobbs, I would be looking for a way out too.
