If you think that your interests are being represented by someone who has an “R” after their name, think again. They don’t call them RINO for nothing.
A house seat opened up after New York Republican John McHugh jumped ship and took the position of Army Secretary. What the locals put up to replace him would make any Democrat proud. Meet Dede Scozzafava, a state RINO hack who has more ties to leftist ideologies than American values. See if she shares your values. She is an abortion rights advocates. All right, there may be cases, such as rape, an unviable fetus, etc. In my opinion, there are cases. Certainly nothing on the level of a Barack Obama, but okay, so she supports abortion rights. Her husband is…a union organizer. Normally I wouldn’t think much of this, but we now know that unions are in the pocket of Barack Obama (or is it the other way around), even sending out their thugs to quell opposition to his socialist policies. Coincidentally, Scozzafava supports card check, the Obama supported measure that would allow unions to strong arm employees into signing on to membership. Did I mention her husband is a union organizer?
Well, circumstantial evidence, you say. Those things don’t necessarily make her a RINO. Maybe. Maybe not. How about this: She supported the stimulus package, although as a state legislator obviously could not vote for it. She voiced her support none the less. She voted for tax increases in her state. She voted for state bailouts of banks. Sure, so did other Republicans. Again, they don’t call them RINOS for nothing.
But here’s the one that knocked me out of my chair. She just happens to pals with Bertha Lewis, the head of ACORN. Yes, that Bertha Lewis. Big Bertha has even thrown political support to Scozzafava in the past. What do you have to do to get the support of ACORN? Scozzfava did it.
On Capitol Hill, Republicans are not all on board with the Scozzafava nomination. Supporters such as John Boener and Newt Gringrich in my opinion show what is wrong with the GOP. Sarah Palin supports Doug Hoffman, a conventional conservative who is not running as a Republican. He can’t, that’s been hijacked by Scozzfava. Doug Hoffman, look him up. He’s closing the gap fast on Scozzafava, despite the backing of the GOP machine. Well, that’s the same machine that shot itself in the foot for years and almost installed a Democrat congress and White House without any liberal help at all. Keep in mind that Democrats took power largely on the argument they they weren’t Republicans. A very successful strategy.
Is this what we can expect next year? Are these the type of candidates that will help take back this country? Obviously not. 2010 right around the corner, and the Republicans just can’t pull their head out of their asses. Congress is there for the taking. The Republican party is neutered. They’re an embarrassment. We need new blood in Washington. These RINOS think they have your vote locked up. They think that if they just don’t have a “D” next to their name, they have it made. Let’s surprise them. There must be more Doug Hoffman’s out there, with little name recognition, and even less national support. I think it has been proven that the American people can network and get it done on their own. Both Republicans and Democrats suck. I’m not choosing the lesser of two evils, because in the end, they’re both evils. 300 million people. There are better choices out there.

I heard an interview with Newt on the radio and he said he would support the Republican no matter what, he didn’t care that the Democrat running was the real conservative. I guess he feels that just having an “R” after your name is more important than your positions, what good does it do to have a Republican who is going to vote with Barack Obama? Newt’s time has come and gone.
