The voters are speaking out loud and clear, and the GOP had better listen or they’ll find themselves replaced with a new party.
Don’t think it can happen? It happened in New York already. Dede Scozzafava, the RINO who stood for everything that groups like ACORN hold dear, was the choice of support for not just the local GOP hacks, but the national ones as well. But grassroots support for Conservative candidate Doug Hoffman decimated her campaign, and today she called it quits. Despite the backing of the GOP political machine, despite the money funneled to her failed attempt, despited the you’ll split the vote and sweep in the Democrat horror stories, the polls indicate that the voters rejected all that rhetoric and supported Hoffman instead.
Now with Scozzafava out of the race, Hoffman is looking like the man for the job. In fact, it was Scozzafava that was siphoning the votes from Hoffman, and with Scozzy out of it, those votes that she had tied up should in theory go to him. I’ve spoken before about electronic voting machines, and I’m not sure what they’re using in New York, but in an honest election, it sure looks like Hoffman has this wrapped up.
In the meantime, GOP hacks like Newt Gingrich, who, as rumor had it, was testing the waters for a 2012 run, has in my opionion blown those chances. And what about Michael Steele, the wishy-washy go along with the crowd loser is looking like a guy who needs to replaced as the face of the GOP. The people spoke out all summer, they’re speaking out in New York, Virginia, and even New Jersey, although there are tales of corruption coming from that state that would make your hair stand up. Despite that, is this a precursor to 2010? It’s a good sign.

This will hopefully wake up the GOP. I hope that the message is heard loud and clear by the far left as well.
The far left probably see this as an act of war. If Hoffman wins, which looks likely, expect to hear “astroturf,” “Nazi” and other terms thrown at conservatives all summer.
This shows the Republican party that the people are serious, we don’t want any more RINOs in the party. If Hoffman wins in NY than this should show the Republican party in which direction it should go. Even with the Republican party behind Scozzafarra it wasn’t enough.
The people are paying attention. My guess is that neither party is that happy about it.
