RINO was too soft a term for this loser. The voters were justified in rejecting this fraud, and as it turns out, she isn’t a Republican at all.
After having her campaign derailed by conservative Doug Hoffman, a grass roots challenge that did not have the backing of the GOP, Dede Scozzafava, the choice of the GOP to run for congress in New York’s 23rd district, called it quits after realizing that she was out-classed by Hoffman and had no chance of winning. Common sense would dictate that she would throw her support behind Hoffman, and not give Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi another vote in congress.
Instead, she threw her support behind Democrat Bill Owens. That’s right, the tax and spend, ACORN loving RINO released a statement today voicing her support for the like minded Dem.
A Democratic source said that Scozzafava and her husband, Ronald P. McDougall, met with U.S. Rep. Steve Israel, D-Huntington, and state Democratic Committee Chairwoman June F. O’Neill at a restaurant in Gouverneur on Saturday afternoon to discuss the endorsement.
Does that sound like a Republican to you? She’s actively conspiring against her own party. Or is it her party? This nut lost out for a reason. In my opinion, which I am backing up, Scozzafava is a Democrat, masquerading as a Republican. Well, the mask is off now. And for the GOP, and all those Republicans that supported this idiot, stand by. I will compile a list of names, and believe me, the people will know who you are. If Doug Hoffman can take this seat, you better believe that your seat can be had as well.
I’ve said before, that having an “R” after your name does not give you a free pass. Need more proof of that?
The question remains, why did the Republicans name her to the seat in the first place. Perhaps they thought that moving to the center was the way to go. Obviously they were wrong and I hope that the national party has learned from this error
Well, I see they’re all jumping on the Hoffman bandwagon now, including Newt Gingrich, who said the voters had it all wrong. He’s not the only one either. I guess that’s what you call two-faced.
Newt’s time has passed in my book. I think it is he who is out of touch with the voters.

Hard to believe that Newt and rest of them DID NOT know that this was a closet democrat when they were shoveling money and support to her. They had to have known. It took me 5 minutes to investigate this rino.
Owens won, so I guess Dede has a special present coming her way.
For someone who dropped out she sure got a significant number of votes.
