We already suspected that this guy wasn’t a real Republican, and now that has been confirmed. Like the guy he replaced, William “Freezer” Jefferson, this guy is open for bribes.
Technically, the Democrats passed Pelosicare by a razor thin margin, with Just one Republican voting in favor. Realistically, that “Republican” is really a Democrat in disguise, in the same mold as Dede Scozzafava in New York. Joseph Cao, RINO from Louisiana cast his vote in favor of the $1.2 trillion health care debacle, and refused to answer reporters questions and skulked out after the vote. Later he released a statement trying to justify is decision, and that justification was that he was bribed.
“Today, I obtained a commitment from President Obama that he and I will work together to address the critical health care issues of Louisiana including the FMAP crisis and community disaster loan forgiveness, as well as issues related to Charity and Methodist Hospitals,” Cao wrote.
Obama bought him off. This clown is admitting that Obama promised to kick a few freebies his way, and that was enough for him to vote for an economy breaking, freedom taking, strangulating health care takeover. This is yet another socialist masquerading as a conservative. Once again, having an “R” in front of your name doesn’t mean you get an automatic vote. The good news is that 39 Democrats voted against this thing. There is still hope in the Senate as well. This thing isn’t over.
It certainly seems like the fix was in on this one. I wonder how many other deals were made behind the seems, we will never know because most reps aren’t stupid enough to admit it.
Is he saying Obama would not have made those commitments unless he voted for the bill?
