The Muslim population in France is 5 million. French President Nicolas Sarkozy understands. Barack Obama on the other hand, is either a co-conspirator, or a deer in the headlights. You decide.
Whatever you think of the French, Nicolas Sarkozy likes it, and he plans on keeping it that way, to the chagrin of the large Muslim population in that country. He says there is no place for full face and body veils such as the burqa, or for the debasement of women, in France. In other words, you can do your little Muslim thing, but if it interferes with the societal norms-French societal norms…well, you’re going to lose that argument. This is in contrast to Barack Obama, who stated in his slobbering Cairo speech that women should have the right to wear that garbage. What about the right to not wear it Barry?
Sarkozy is taking action to make sure that French culture is not diluted with backward 10th century customs. A little swipe at Obama at the same time. Of course Muslim groups are up in arms, playing the victim card, even as the covered women remain silent. Damn right they’re silent. I don’t need to cover the stories here of the ones who actually spoke out. The stories are heinous, and tax the limits of what is publishable for this blog, where pretty much anything is on the table. Stonings, beheadings, hangings-Sarkozy won’t play that game. Religion of peace for Obama though.
Sarkozy has his head screwed on straight when it comes to immigration as well. Aiding and abetting illegal aliens is against the law in France, as it is in the United States, but the difference is that in France, there is a quota for busting those that would assist illegals. Keep in mind that the bulk of illegals coming to France are Muslims, and that’s bad news for any country, especially for a country the size of France. The entire country is about the size of Texas. You thought it was some United States sized behemoth? No. Their issues with Islam and with illegal immigration are in your face. Obama on the other hand, is gearing up for comprehensive immigration reform, (code: amnesty). Again, he is either a co-conspirator, or a deer in the headlights.
Just imagine if the United States took the French position on just those two issues? What would this country look like now? The FBI even says that 10% of mosques in the U.S. preach jihad. At a certain point, political correctness becomes a liability. And how about immigration? Secure borders and E-verify would mean fewer dollars going for public assistance to illegals, a weaker Hispanic caucus, whose racist, anti-American agenda becomes stronger as the border becomes weaker, less gang violence, and more Americans with job opportunities. Did I mention culture? Does that matter to you? It matters to me. If you come to America, you should adopt the American way. Is that radical? Is that racist? Is that intolerant? Did you ever think you would see the day when the French (at least Sarkozy) got it right and we were dead wrong? That day has arrived.
It isn’t very often that I agree with the French but Sarkozy has this one right. Instead of celebrating diversity Sarkozy wants people who decide to move to his country to embrace his country’s culture. There is nothing wrong with that. We are losing our culture a little bit at a time. It is time to demand that immigrants to this country learn to assimilate to us, we do not need to assimilate to them.
I’ll have to look them up, but Sarkozy has made some comments in the past about how clueless Obama is. He was right then, and he’s right now.

You’re comment about Obama saying the women have a right to wear the burqa said it all for me. You have to be a Muslim sympathizer to some degree to even get those words out of your mouth.
