Marxists and RINO’s alike, get out of the way because 2010 is around the corner. For the Newt Gingrich/Michael Steele crowd that think you have to pander to interests that are not your own, guess again.
It appears as though Arizona voters have just about had it, not only with wack job Democrats, but RINO Republicans as well. A Rasmussen poll shows Maricopa County sheriff Joe Arpaio with a commanding lead in a potential race for the governorship of Arizona. Joe isn’t running at this time, but if he were, he would have a 25 point lead over the next closest Republican challenger, Treasurer Dean Martin. Even worse off is the current governor Jan Brewer, who would only garner 10% of the vote to Joe’s 47%.
Arpaio even pounds the likely Democratic nominee, Terry Goddard by 12 points – 51% to 39%. Looks like Joe is a popular guy, but you would never know it by listening to the mainstream media. They portray Arpaio as a divisive xenophobe that tears communities apart. The numbers tell a different story. It looks like the people would be coming together under Joe Arpaio, so much so that he would beat anybody, Republican or Democrat, in a landslide.
If I lived in Arizona, he would get my vote, but I will have to settle for Arizonans making the right choice if indeed, he decided to run. Even if he doesn’t, the job he’s doing as sheriff of Maricopa county has a positive impact that potentially stretches across the country. Arizona is a funnel for illegal aliens from Mexico, and without Joe at the helm…who knows what the numbers could be.
It’s my understanding that Joe Arpaio is nearing 80. He won’t be around forever. Somebody must eventually stand up and take the torch that Arpaio currently carries. Whoever does will apparently have a lot of support behind them. For now, let Sheriff Joe show you how it’s done.

Run Joe Run! Even if Joe decides not to run, I think this poll is a clear indication of how the voters feel– not just in Arizona but across the country. We are tired of liberals and faux Republicans. We want the real deal and if you are not a true conservative Republican you will be voted out along with the rest of them.
I lived in Phoenix, AZ for a little under a year and I would LOVE to see this man become Governor! Many of us might just move to Arizona if he did!
If Arpaio became governor, there would be many illegal aliens packing their bags in that state. They just couldn’t deal with what would be coming their way.
Yippie!!!! I sure hope he does run. You are absolutely right, the will go back if the illegal population is stemmed.
I never heard him say he’ll run. That was a Rasmussen “what if” poll. I hear Lou Dobbs might make a run at the White House. Governor Arpaio? President Dobbs? Talk about turning things around!

I’m in North Carolina and I still would like to see Joe Arpaio become Governor of AZ. This Great Nation needs more leaders like him. But I also think with what we have now, the Republicans is better than Obama and the Democrats! We best hope that we get new blood running for president in 2012 and not the same old, same old.
I agree, Goodtime. We need new blood, but I don’t think the GOP has gotten the message yet.
I think this just shows us the extent to which a lot of Americans are fed up with the way things are being done in this country. From what I can tell Joe Arpaio is a very plainspoken man and that is very refreshing in this day and age.
this gay and his followers suck
Nice to see that grammar class worked out for you Alex.
