Pelosi Will Tax The Bionic Man

If this turns out to be a successful experiment, the lives of millions around the world, including our troops would have their quality of life not only improved, but restored.

Researchers in Europe have successfully tested a robotic hand attached to a human being. Sure, there are other robotic prosthetics out there, but this one is different. Electrodes were attached to the patient, and the hand was being controlled using the patient’s mind. That’s right, the thoughts of the patient somehow traveled through the electrodes and controlled movements of the hand. The hand wasn’t actually attached; it was connected to the man via electrodes, but test to see if it could actually be done was apparently successful. Obviously, the ramifications of this could be tremendous. Limbs, eyes, organs-the possibilities are endless. That sounds like bionics to me. When I saw the article, I immediately thought of our troops who are risking it all in Iraq and Afghanistan. They don’t always come back the way they left as we all know, but this could change that dramatically.

The reason I bring this up is because the Pelosi health care bill that oozed its way out of the house has a provision that would tax all medical devices. So in the event that an American research team ran with this idea and actually developed an attachable limb that could be controlled by the brain like a real limb, it would be taxed under Pelosi care. Minimum, it would make the device more expensive, and at worst, it would cause development to be cost prohibitive. Add the other taxes coming at doctors, researchers, and others who generally live in the Pelosi target salary range, and bombshell breakthroughs like this never happen. Pelosi wants to throw 13 new taxes at us, not to mention what Reid wants to nail us with.

Just one more reason to kill Pelosi care, Reid care, Obama care, Apollo care…whatever you want to call it. To stifle this kind of ingenuity so everyone can have a band-aid is just bad science.
