Egypt Building The Mother Of All Border Fences

Who would have thought that the United States could learn something from Egypt? Culture? Diplomacy? Technology? No, none of those things. How about an old fashioned border wall?

Israel got it right with their own border wall (that’s where we can take a technology cue), and now Egypt, who has had it with the Palestinians smuggling everything from guns to drugs through border tunnels are putting a stop to it. The Egyptians are constructing a huge iron border wall, and they claim that it will be virtually impenetrable. To combat the tunnels, the wall will go 20 to 30 meters underground. They are using sensors to detect tunnels. They use checkpoints to catch smugglers as well.

Sounds like a sensible way to guard a border that is breached on a regular basis. The word is that America-yes, the United States is putting pressure on Egypt to do something about the smuggling. Even without the U.S., Egypt is getting tired of the riff-raff from Gaza using their country as illegal superhighway. Meanwhile, the Southern border of the United States remains wide open, with everyone from gang members, to terrorists, to barefoot pregnant women traipsing across unopposed.

So while America turns the screws on Egypt, the Southern border remains a sieve, a de facto amnesty already in progress. The Obama regime is clueless. Yet another example of it’ll work this time. While Obama tries to get Israel to tear down their wall, they want Egypt to block the way into their country and funnel the Palestinians (HAMAS) into Israel. This is all about squeezing Israel, not stopping Palestinian smuggling. From trying to stop Israeli settlements to attempting to hand Jerusalem over to HAMAS, to denying advanced military weaponry to Israel, Obama’s Muslim is in overdrive. They know you’re an anti-Semite Barry, and they will no doubt come out swinging if provoked. That’s Obama’s foreign policy. The destruction of Israel, a North American Union, appeasement of Iran, capitulating to Russia, and bowing to China. Foreign policy, Kenyan style.
