Stimulus Jobs Saved Lie In Overdrive

They tried to slip this lie through and got caught. They’re going to play it out anyway.

When the White House was first caught making phony claims of job creation and job preservation, they vigorously defended their numbers, even though anybody with a cheap calculator was able to find huge accounting errors in their reports. Instead of owning up to at least using bad numbers, or just plain bad math, the Obama regime had taken deception and fraud to a new level by changing the way they account for jobs created or saved. Now, anybody that gets a piece of stimulus money, be it workers in no danger of losing their jobs, or even ordinary payroll expenses wll be counted as a job saved. That’s right, if Obama rubs 2 nickels together and gives you one, that will be counted as a job saved. Imagine what the job creation numbers will look like in a few months. All they have to do is spread literally pennies around and they will able to claim they’ve save thousands, if not millions of jobs. Just in time for election year. Another time and this scheme might work, but there’s no way they can bs the folks that are out of a job, and have been for some time. Those 85,000 that lost their jobs last month won’t fall for it.

Obama has made stimulus accountability so lax, that it will be almost impossible to not say a job was created or saved.

Recipients of recovery money no longer have to show that a job would have been lost without the stimulus help, and they no longer are required to keep an ongoing tally of jobs saved or created. The new rules allow stimulus recipients to limit the job tally to quarterly reports, making it impossible to avoid double-counting a job that was created in one quarter and continued into the next.

So who was the one that is calling Obama’s hand yet again? Darrell Issa. He’s been one busy guy with going after ACORN, Exposing Geithner for lining the pockets of Goldman Sachs with our money, and now this nightmare. We can at least say there is one person in Washington that is working for Americans. Imagine 50 or 60 Issa’s walking around the house chamber. Washington would look quite different. Until there are more whistle blowers like Darrell Issa though, the rest of us will have to stay vigilant and inform those who will no doubt never get this story, thus never getting the truth about the economic debacle known as the stimulus bill.
