So, am I reading this correctly ... you are asserting that every single Muslim in the US military should be dismissed?

If I misread you, then I apologize. I am proceeding on the assumption that I have read that correctly.

Are you prepared officially to declare that Muslims are second-class citizens, then?

Having Muslims serve is not political correctness, it is freedom of religion. There are thousands of Muslims in the US military ... one of them has committed a terrorist act, and his co-workers in the psych hospital were concerned about his tendency toward psychopathy. To brand the rest of them -- including combat veterans (of Iraq and Afghanistan, no less!) and the desperately-needed translators -- is beyond absurd.

This question isn't just hypothetical or intellectual, by the way. I know a young man whose parents were Iranian-born who serves in the Marine Corps. He's been to Iraq twice, counting his current tour. He's a practicing Muslim.

Are you prepared to tell him that his service is suspect? I suspect that he, by the way, would disagree that your post is not an indictment against our fighting men and women.

I want to make clear this is not an indictment of our fighting men and women. This is about the bureaucracy.

Political correctness has already cost our military a lot of lives. I can not understand why they would even consider continuing the practice.

I like what you said with the dodge ball analogy. Sooner or later, the practice of political correctness will turn around and bite them even harder than it did in Fort Hood.
