If he can’t legislate amnesty, he’ll just decree it. Remember when Rahm Emanuel said never let a crisis go to waste? Well, this is exactly what he was talking about.
Under the guise of compassion, Barack Obama is about grant temporary protected status, or TPS for up to 200,000 Hatian illegal aliens, most in the state of Florida. The TPS program was created just for situations like the terrible disaster in Haiti, where conditions would merit temporary asylum for citizens of countries ravaged by such things as natural disasters. In this case though, the ones being given protected status were already here in the United States. That would include violent Haitian gang members that currently roam the streets of Miami. Many of these gang members are illegal aliens, and under this program will be given defacto amnesty to continue to terrorize American cities. This includes criminals that were slated for deportation.
TPS in theory is supposed to expire in 12-18 months, but as with just about any government program, it hasn’t worked out that way. To cite an example, Tom Tancredo says that TPS was given to illegal aliens from El Salvador after a hurricane in that country. All Salvadorans, including gangsters were given protection. We now have MS-13, one of the most violent international gangs in the world to contend with. They have entrenched themselves into American society, all while having immunity from deportation. That problem is growing.
TPS is designed to give temporary protection to foreign citizens while whatever situation has developed in their countries of origin are addressed. What Barack Obama is doing here is basically absorbing Haiti. Amnesty for those already here, and that does not include the flood of refugees to come. I’m all for giving aid to a country in need, but this isn’t help. This is the destruction of Haiti. Already, remittances from the United States amount to 1/3 of the Haitian economy. That amounts to a blow to the United States economy, and a diaper to Haiti. We have already seen in Mexico how this kind of set up is an impediment for progress. Haiti and Mexico have no incentive to develop their respective countries into something they can be proud of. Instead, they just feed off the United States and will remain embarrassing basket cases as long as this continues. In the meantime, the only entrepeneurs in those countries end up being the violent gangs.
What is the point of giving aid to Haiti now, when anyone that can get up and walk are just going to leave? Does that make sense? Much work needs to be done, and the illegal aliens that are here, and the ones that will be seeking asylum shortly are the very ones that should be in Haiti rebuilding that nation. Instead, Obama will be giving amnesty, helping to ensure that Haiti always remains a dependent child, incapable of striking out on its own. It is a formula for weakening two nations and absorbing all problems that Haiti has as well. Not solving them, just absorbing them. Haiti is receiving emergency aid currently. They are receiving no help at all on how to clean up the corruption and the gang violence. Instead, those albatrosses will be allowed to expand in the United States. How many more gangs does the United States need? How many more sex slaves? How many more cocaine dealers? For Obama, we apparently just don’t have enough. He’s about to address that with the swipe of a pen.

I wish more would report on this. When the news 1st broke about the earthquake, I was thinking the same thing.
No doubt, Obama is trying to figure out a way to get it done.
Don’t believe for 1 sec. that the so-called amnesty is temporary.
Oh, good freakin grief!
I was just telling a friend of mine this is exactly what the heck was going to happen.
I will copy and post on my blog too man.
DOGGONEIT!
They’re using the cover story of helping the Haitian people. This isn’t helping anybody.
