This administration just doesn’t get it. Or, in maybe an even more disturbing scenario, they do get it.
The Patriot Act contains provisions that would deny visas to the United States for anyone that supported or was connected in some way with terrorist organizations, or organizations that supported them. One of those organizations, Commite de Bienfaisance et de Secours aux Palestiniens (CBSP) and its Swiss-based subsidiary Association de Secours Palestinien (ASP) is on the Treasury’s list of organizations that provide funding cover for the terror group HAMAS. Back in the Bush years, visas would be denied to individuals that contributed to this organization. One of those individuals was Tariq Ramadan, a professor at the once great Oxford University in the once great England. This thug was actually slated to take a position at Notre Dame University (try and wrap your mind around that), but with the visa denial had to settle for Oxford.
That’s all changed now. In an effort to reach out to the Muslim community, the Obama State Department has lifted the visa ban on Ramadan, clearing the way for his entry into not just the United States, but the halls of academia as well. That’s right, this guy will most likely be indoctrinating your kids-or maybe even you yourself.
“We want to have the opportunity potentially to have Islamic scholars come to the United States and have dialogue with other faith communities and people here in our country,” Assistant Secretary of State for Public Affairs Philip Crowley told reporters.
Fine. He forgot to mention that this guy was helping Hamas blow up children. What kind of dialogue are they talking about? The type of undewear that best conceals explosives? Even more disturbing is that they know-and acknowledge who this guy is and what he supports, but they are letting him onto American soil anyway.
The next time he applies for a visa, “he will not be found inadmissible on the basis of the facts that led to denial when [he] last applied,” Crowley said.
Hear what he is saying. The State Department doesn’t deny what led to this guy being blocked form entering the United States. All they’re saying is that those facts will not be used as a reason to keep him out now.
What does it take for this government to get a clue? We know the direction the Obama administration is moving. Allah willing. But what about the ‘reasonable’ ones in Washington? It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to put this together. From panty bomber, to the failed terror attempt in New York last year, where Muslim thugs planned to shoot up a Jewish center and shoot down a military plane, the thwarted bombing plots in Illinois and Texas, the Ft. Hood massacre, the jihad shooting at a military recruiting center, the exposure of CAIR’s attempt to infiltrate the goverment, and God only knows how many other plots that were either thwarted and never publicized or are still in the works. But Obama wants to reach out. Congressional dolts want to defend anti-American, anti-Semitic, anti-non-Muslim CAIR, and continue to promote Islam as the religion of peace. The grossly misnamed Department of Homeland Security are infiltrating their own ranks with Muslims. Thank God that we have tough, smart and dedicated Americans at Homeland Security that are doing a hell of a job though, despite the obstacles they face. It must very difficult with the brass throwing road blocks and making their jobs that much more difficult.
You could make a case that war crimes are being committed here. Giving aid and comfort to the enemy in wartime is punishable by…Maybe that’s why Obama decided to do away with the term war on terror.
You know, this just does not make sense. Why in the world would they allow someone like this into the country? I don’t care what kind of scholar he is, he needs to be denied and kept out.
It seems to me that if dialogue is what they really wanted they could have found someone that did not have a cloud hanging over them.
More proof that Obama does not take terrorism and national defense seriously. But you would think that someone would step up and complain about this, where are they?
Sometimes that silence makes me wonder if there is another side to this in Washington. There’s political correctness and then there’s self destruction.
