They’re still playing around with the 10-12 million number, but if the illegal alien population has declined at all, it’s good news.
The Department of Homeland Security released a report on the declining number of illegal aliens in the United States. Once again they stuck with the same numbers that have been used for almost a decade now. If you take this report at its word, this would really be the first time the illegal alien population moved at all since W’s first term.
There’s no point in going over the numbers, because they’re phony. What probably is real, is that illegal aliens are leaving, unable to find work in a tough economy. With millions of Americans currently out of work, there aren’t very many jobs that Americans won’t do. Let’s face it, there never were any jobs that Americans wouldn’t do if the price was right. Nobody (except maybe illegal aliens) would want to work for below market wages and live in a slum. This country rose to greatness with fair wages hard work. Now all that has been insourced and outsourced in the name of a quick buck. The unintended conseqences are that consumers are now out of a job and there’s nobody to take their place at the checkout line. Hiring cheap labor, and outsourcing the rest has only served to supercharge the recession depression, and a coalition of politicians, activists and business interests are there to make sure the decline continues. Do they not realize, or do they not care? The problem is that you have these different groups wanting the same thing for different reasons.
Take this report for example. The only function for this report is to put into the mind of Americans that there really aren’t very many illegal aliens around, and of the ones that are here, some of them are actually leaving. This reports serves the open borders panderers in Washington-and local governments, it serves the open borders lobby, who have tentacles all over the country, and it serves cheap labor advocates, who will force Americans to compete with those that would be willing to take a lower wage for the same job. Ask any construction worker what I’m talking about.
This report does raise an interesting question though. The numbers seem very thorough, and the DHS seems to know how many illegals are coming and going with a very small margin of error. My question is, if they know how many are here, how many are coming, how many are going…why don’t they just round them up? Back to the coalition. The amnesty push is coming, and reports like this are just a precursor to the full court press. Amnesty groups are already starting to make noise, legislation is already on the table, and the spin, Napolitano style has already started.
You might think it inconceivable that anybody would try to pass such legislation in the midst of one of the worst economic downturns since the great depression. Well, you could also ask why the climate change scam is still being pursued, even in the face of now admitted revelations of phony data regarding global warming. The agenda is what it is. The cover story they’re giving us is something else. It’s just a cover story. If it’s not working, they’ll just change the story, but the agenda will remain the same.
Well my actual numbers come from the census bureau and the National Priorities Project, not to mention I live here in Pa. with a clan in the rented property next door to the home I pay taxes on to support these swine! Be glad you do not live here in Pennsylvania we have 424,000 of our own legal children in poverty. That is 15.4 percent of all the children in Pa. Our governor Fast Eddy Rendell’s little city of Philadelphia gave free child birth delivery to a minimum of 1,800 undocumented women in the twelve short months of 2008. At present the lowest estimate of illegal’s State-wide are 3.8 million. Over 60 percent of all these illegal aliens are all high school drop outs. The amount of children who will be eligible for (SCHIP) States Children Health Insurance Program is staggering. Not including undocumented in Pa. there are 1,211,000 legal Pennsylvanian citizens without health insurance. As a life long Catholic, I know for a fact many of us stopped paying our church dues which are used to advocate for illegal border jumpers. In Pa. over half our Catholic Churches and schools have closed for good, and the only ones thriving are the clans of illegal aliens packed into rental properties all throughout the State (which is also very broke & corrupt). Our government is helping illegal’s remain employed while Veterans are unemployed and homeless! If you are an American tax payer, thanks to Liberals needing votes, it is not politically correct to use tax payers’ money to the advantage of the actual tax payer. Our taxes are used to support this poor minority of high school drop out illegal aliens! And the devil bedamned the life long law abiding homeowners living next door to the trash destroying our property value and neighborhoods. That line about “work Americans won’t do” has always bothered me. There is no work that Americans won’t do and we are finding that out now. Perhaps if we got rid of permanent welfare more Americans would go to work and even more illegals would go home.

I also think that welfare should only be there for the disable and the elders and not for all these women having babies just to get a bigger check from our taxes. All we have to do is stop in at a welfare office and we can see people in new cars that cost from $12,000 to $40,000. Even Clinton put a time limit on welfare and forced many to go back to work so we can see how much the democrats has changed since the Clinton years. Welfare has doubled under the leadership of Obama!

Mr Pink Eyes is right. Americans will do the work if they aren’t continuously force fed bs from the MSM about what is beneath them. Ask anyone who lived through the Depression if they thought sweeping floors and picking up trash was demeaning work? Welfare was never meant to keep families for generations although that is what it has become.
I would never begrudge someone a helping hand as long as they did their part to get up. Same goes for countries that believe that we are their “other” source of income for their countries. Many of the illegal population work hard, use welfare, and send their money home.

I see a common thread here. We ( I use that term loosely) have created a sub-culture welfare state where so many are dependent on handouts. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure if many of those folks are capable of holding down a job. Instead of trying to mitigate this problem, Obama-and the rest of the socialists in Washington are trying to expand it, and supercharge it with amnesty. Proven not to work. The only rationale I can fathom is that these people are so blinded by ideology that they think they can make a square peg fit a round hole.

I have heard it said that it is unrealistic to try to deport everyone who is in this country illegally. While that may be logistically true, does it mean we should not at least give it a shot? I would vote for trying as hard as we can to get rid of as many as we can and then go from there.
I agree with Mr. Pink Eyes and the rest of the comments. For much too long, we have seen too many of our citizens on permanent welfare. As long as that is the case, is it any wonder that our society is not as productive as it used to be?
LD, your comments are motivating me to write another Post. I probably will. We don’t have to ’round everybody up’. Just the fact that it is going on would be a deterrent, and take away the enticement freebies, and I think the problem will largely solve itself. Maybe not completely, but it would go a long way.
