Obama Appoints Hardcore Muslim As Envoy

So now Obama taps a hardcore Muslim to retrieve marching orders from other hardcore Muslims. We already know that he surrendered in the war on terror when he declared that there was no war, but that might not necessarily be the case. What he meant was that there was no war with Islam. He said nothing about the people of the United States.

In a video message to a Islam and Islam only conference, Barack Obama announced an envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference. Bush appointed the first one, but that guy was a Texas oilman. Obama tapped somebody far different. I disagree with both decisions. This is a group that is by, for, and about Islam, and Islam only. In fact, this group actually envisions a closed economy that includes only Muslim nations. They are the ones that are pounding the United Nations (with success I might add) to declare criticism of Islam a crime. Think that’s rhetoric? It’s already true in some (currently) non-Islamic countries in Europe. Ask Geert Wilders. I choose not to link to them. They’re on the web though.

The guy Obama selected, if not surprising in who he was, is certainly unnerving in the position he had in the United States government. Rashad Hussain, described by Obama “As an accomplished lawyer and a close and trusted member of my White House staff,…” This guy is also a hafiz of the Koran. A hafiz is a guy that has memorized the Koran. An impressive feat without a doubt, and at the same time a disturbing one. If someone is that dedicated to Islam, what is he doing as a critical component of the White House staff? He’s a deputy associate counsel. That’s right, he’s one of Obama’s lawyers. It is he that will interact with the Muslim world to allegedly bridge differences between Muslims and the rest of us.

In theory, there should be no need for this type of organization, and the resulting envoys. But reality is rearing its sometimes ugly head, and there it is, growing as it consumes new member countries. Barack Obama said in his surrender speech in Cairo last year that he wanted to reach out, and if the handling with kid gloves of the Ft. Hood shooter didn’t convince Islam, this very well might.

Don’t tell me about the troops in Afghanistan, or the drone attacks that have surpassed the Bush admistration either. Karzai’s 12 rules of engagement will ensure that it will be a quagmire over there. You might ask, if Obama is such a panderer to Islam, why be over there at all? Good question. The answer is that clearly, he hasn’t convinced Islam that he’s one of them, and…damn if another 9-11 happens on his watch. Whether that is even a possibility is another post. In the end, he isn’t trying to bring democracy to Afghanistan at all. He’s just trying to get the Muslims to stop killing each other. Obviously we can only speculate, but to suggest that the greatest military in history can’t steamroll that sack of dirt is ludicrous. Tie their hands behind their backs though, and the game changes.

The fact is, that most people are not inclined to anything about anything. That includes Muslims. Obama talks about extremists in Islam, but the very ones he talks about are actually mainstream. They are espousing the true tenets of Islam, as written in the Koran. Open any page and see. Even supporters of Islamo-fascism are not inclined to do or say anything for the most part, even if they agree. With Barack Obama in the White House, maybe they don’t need to.
