Mexican Law Enforcement Integrated Into Border Patrol

One more front page story buried in cyberspace. If you thought the borders weren’t secure before, then have a seat because this this will make you dizzy. With a half-assed incomplete fence at the border, pandering RINO’s abound, amnesty on docket for the Obama social justice regime, reconquistas in full attack mode, and Homeland Security now a macabre joke, this latest scheme not only obliterates the border, but will actually enable the futher Northward flow of drugs, guns, gangsters, and illegal aliens.

Compliments of Janet Napolitano, the Muslim terrorist loving nitwit at Homeland Security, a deal has been penned with the Mexican goverment to fuse the Border Patrol with Mexican law enforcement to ostensibly interdict the flow of guns and narcotics across the the U.S./Mexican border. Mexican law enforcement personnel will train with, and have access to Border Patrol intelligence in order to battle the drug gang war at the border. Some Mexican agents will be stationed in the U.S., and vice-versa. That’s right, these Mexican agents will be freely moving back and forth across the border, all in the name of law enforcement. Since many of these agents will be operating on American soil, it isn’t clear what authority they will have regarding American citizens. In theory they should have no authority. In theory. We know that Barack Obama signed and executive order giving Interpol free reign in the United States, and dominion over American citizens. What has he done here?

For the sake of brevity, let’s narrow in on just some of the potential problems with this partnership. The problem is that Mexican law enforcement has a long history of corruption. Hardly a week goes by that there isn’t another story out of Mexico where entire police forces, or entire army units turn out to be goons for the drug cartels. Now some of these same goons will be joined at the hip with U.S. Border Patrol, and have access to where they will be, when they will be there, and what kind of firepower they will have available. Not only that, they will have access to whatever intelligence the Border Patrol might have on specific drug gang targets. All that information in theory could end up in hands of the drug cartels before they even make a move. I say in theory, but in Mexico, it’s not a theory. Even if these Mexican agents have the best intentions as far as stopping the cartels’ activities, they are not inclined to stop illegal aliens from crossing the border. In fact, they may be providing a safe route in an otherwise dangerous border war zone.

However, Trevino said that while his officers aggressively pursue smugglers, they do not intend to interfere with Mexicans crossing north illegally if there is no evidence of other criminal activity. The policy is dictated by longtime Mexican political sensitivity and public opinion, experts say.

Political sensitivity. What the hell does that mean? So what kind of dilemma do you think this will present when a joint Border Patrol/Mexican law enforcement contingent stumbles across a gaggle of illegal aliens? You can just guess. With Napolitano cracking down on ICE agents, and sheriffs like Joe Arpaio in the United States, you have to believe that the order has gone out to leave the illegal border crossers alone. Former border agents Ramos and Campeon can tell you what will happen if they are not left alone. After all, Napolitano has already stated that crossing the border illegally is not illegal. Go look up the statement.

So what is the point here? It could be that Barack Obama wants to give the appearance that they really are cracking down at the border, but in fact, they are just exacerbating the problem. They can still come up with some numbers though that may give the appearance that they’re doing something. A drug bust here, an arrest there, but that has always been going on. That was never an indication that the border was secure, and this latest scheme will guarantee that border is not only insecure, but logistically in the hands of drug cartels on the one hand, and the the Mexican goverment on the other hand, who actually want their citizens to leave Mexico. They want their citizens to go to the United States and send back remittances to Mexico. I wonder how effective this new plan will be for those trying to return to Mexico. I wonder.

And the line at the border, if not completely gone, is so blurred that it cannot be recognized. We can talk about border security, amnesty, this and that, but at a certain point, the things they are doing now will cause a tipping point where there will be a point of no return. How many people with allegiance to another country can be allowed into another country before there are no longer two countries? They aren’t going to tell us the answer, they’re going to show us.

  • Good find! This stroy has been kept under wraps hasn’t it? This is more proof that Obama’s loyalties to start with what is best for the United States. Political sensitivity? How about showing a little political common sense.

  • There is one thing about all of this that I do not understand. Why is it that so many people seem to be willing to look the other way when it comes to illegal immigrants, as long as they are not breaking any other laws? Is crossing the border illegally not illegal enough for them? The entire situation with illegal immigration is getting out of hand because it seems that no one in power really wants to work on solving the problem.

  • One of the main issues is that we don’t know who is coming across that border. Now these guys are going to pick and choose on the spot who they think is a ‘criminal’ or not. It doesn’t matter if they have the magic power to tell if someone is coming to the United States to do harm. Crossing at all is a crime. Taking a job here, collecting benefits, even stealing identities in order to produce work documents is all a crime. But this problem goes back long before Barack Obama came along. I’ve said before what’s broken is that existing laws aren’t being enforced. At a certain point those laws won’t matter anymore.

  • It seems that no one wants to address this problem. It has been long in the making. The Mexican Army is fraught with cartel infiltration. Does that matter?
A few weeks ago, the situation became quite dire in the northern state of Chihuahua. They were planning on moving the state’s government to the northern city of Cd Juarez (the most dangerous city in Mexico). Why would they do this? Because we, the taxpayer are providing sanctuary for them. Because the taxpayer pays for their care at the local county hospital everytime the cartel’s gun down someone. Because they can ask and are given political asylum everytime they request it. Courtesy of the taxpayer.

  • [...] that creature back to bowels from where he came.  Of course, it won’t matter soon as we now have another unreported story about Mexican law enforcement integrated with Border Patrol. [...]

  • I read that Times article. 30k in El Paso and they don’t who or where they are. This is border security?
