They shot the bull for 7 hours, absolutely nothing was accomplished, and the Democrats are going ahead with their plan without the GOP…or the American people.
Everyone knew this would be a circus and it did not disappoint. If anyone still doesn’t have a clue about what the Democrats are offering, you can find it just about anywhere on the web. The Republicans have their own plan, but you would never know by listening to the media. None of that matters though. After all the arguing, the posturing, the exchange of ideas (as disingenuous as it was), in the end the Democrats are going it alone. If you remember, it was Barack Obama himself that said (aiming at Republicans), get out of the way.
And if they don’t get out of the way, he’ll just push them out of the way. Obama’s comments show clearly what his intentions are, and that this whole thing was theater as it was planned to be.
We cannot have another yearlong debate about this,” Obama declared. “I’m not sure we can bridge the gap.”
That means reconciliation. Having reconciliation language written even before this summit pretty much summed up how much Obama wanted to hear any other ideas. This whole charade was basically a question to Republicans: Are you going to follow me like a puppy dog, or not? Well, they aren’t going to follow him, and if the polls are any indicator, the American people aren’t following him either.
The good news is that there are Democrats that have soured on this plan, and the senate version of obamacare may not even pass the house. If it does, there are certain be legal challenges, and hopefully tie this thing up for years.
I actually had to work today and get something accomplished, at a job where I choose to have insurance, but have been blessed enough not to have to use it. I’m just the kind of guy the insurance companies love. But I don’t need to be threatened with incarceration if I should decide to drop that insurance. As it stands now, those that need that insurance are able to use it-on my dime. And that’s ok, because if I need it one day it’ll be there. If obamacare passes we can just look at the Brits or up North in Canada to see what kind of insurance will be available. And let’s face it, the cost of that insurance will go up. There is just no way to slash costs and add 30 million people and not have insurance costs go up. If Obama’s scheme to regulate premium increases comes to fruition, then we will just be one step closer to a single-payer system, as insurance companies go under, unable to cover their costs.
Just part of Obama’s agenda, and he doesn’t care what you think.

This mish mash of garbage that is being offered isn’t worth the paper it is printed on.
I want to know why POTUS and his gang of thieves are unwilling to take the offering.
I don’t know how much of a mish mash it is to Obama. His plan will take over 1/5 of the economy and create a bureaucracy that will be impossible to navigate, much less dismantle.
I have been watching replays of the summit and managed to get through the opening remarks by Obama and Lamar Alexander. When Pelosi started talking, I turned it off, as I simply can not stand to hear that woman talk. I did find a six-minute segment of Paul Ryan dissecting the Democrat’s plan and have it posted on my blog. That young man is quite the smart fellow.
He broke it down very nicely, but Obama didn’t even hear him apparently. obama ignores Ryan even as he’s being told his own actuary contradicts him.
