Last Night, Fox 11 in Los Angeles hosted a debate between Hayes, and Rev. Eric Lee of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. Don’t let that name fool you. Lee came out spewing hate from his first sentence. This debate was about the Glenn Beck rally earlier in the day, a non-political event that welcomed all. At the same time, Al Sharpton held his own rally in the shadows. The event(s) were held the same day that Dr. Martin Luther King gave his I have a Dream speech. This enraged both Sharpton and Lee, who attempted to paint the event as racist whites coming together and soiling the memory of Dr. King. Apparently he had never heard of Ted Hayes. I bet he’ll never forget him now.
When Lee tried to put Ted on the spot by asking why the crowd was “all” white, Hayes took it to him, as only Ted can. He basically told him the black “leaders” like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have ingrained the notion that whitey is responsible for all the problems that blacks face. If fact, Hayes chastised Lee by reminding him that Dr. King said to judge people by the content of their character, and not the color of their skin, and that Lee and other black leaders were doing just the opposite. He also noted that the Sharpton crowd was all black. Lee changed the subject.
I can’t do justice by trying to describe the sense that Ted Hayes made. Watch the video. If nothing else for the entertainment value as he destroys this race baiter. Too bad we don’t have more patriots in Washington that have the intelligence, the insight, and the love of country that Ted Hayes has.
