Crime Pays For Illegal Aliens

Not only did the Obama regime not put up a fight, but they rewarded criminals for their efforts. There is no such thing as violating the constitutional rights of illegal aliens, but for an activist judge, the law has very little to do with what they perceive to be their role. As far as they’re concerned, if you want to be a chump and follow the rules, then you’ll just end up on the receiving end of their activist decisions. This time, the American taxpayer took the hit, and this precedent opens the door to a goldmine for illegal aliens.

Going back to the Bush administration, when ICE conducted raids and rounded up illegal aliens, much of it was for show. The hapless illegals were paraded in front of the camera as proof the administration was tough on illegal immigration. Later, most of those folks were taxied down the street and released. All of it was an effort to show that ICE had things under control, and that now we could discuss comprehensive immigration reform. Obama has continued the myth of border security with distressingly, the same agenda of open borders that plagued George Bush. So it’s no surprise that the act of one administration overlapped with another, and in the end, Americans get the shaft.

In 2007, ICE conducted a raid in New Haven, Connecticut which netted a gaggle of illegal aliens. Like a magnet, New Haven draws illegal aliens to the city because of the liberal, country destroying policies of its local officials. They issue ID’s to illegal aliens-not necessarily to identify them, but to allow them to conduct business. Cops can’t even inquire whether someone is illegal or not. The mayor of New Haven, John DeStefano, wants to go beyond his ID program and actually allow illegal aliens to vote. The illegal aliens there have it much better than anything their own country could offer them, and they weren’t going to take something as galling as a raid lying down. They fought it.

A federal judge ruled in 2009 that the constitutional rights of 11 of the illegal aliens were violated.

Immigration Judge Michael Straus said the ICE agents went into the immigrants’ homes without warrants, probable cause or their consent, and he put a stop to deportation proceedings against the four defendants, whose names were not released.

If the raids occurred in 2007, why are these illegal aliens still here? How were they still here two years later when an Obama goon judge decided that illegal aliens had constitutional rights? But they were here. Not only did they not get deported, but rather than face a court battle, ICE has settled with the illegal aliens for $350,000, and no deportations. You saw that right. All they had to do was cry foul, and not only could they stay, but won a lottery of sorts-courtesy the American taxpayer.

The judge was an activist and used no logic or any semblance of law in issuing his decree. 1: ICE agents did not go into the homes of illegal aliens without a warrant. They are illegal aliens, those are not their homes. 2: ICE did have probable cause. Everybody they rounded up was illegal. Was that a lucky guess? Not according to ICE, who claims to have planned the raid a year earlier. And no…they did not have the consent of the illegal aliens to conduct the raid.

I tore apart the judge’s ruling in a matter of seconds. The Obama regime decided not to fight it at all. Now, not only is ICE hamstrung from conducting these types of raids-or arresting illegal aliens at all, all illegal aliens have to do now is play the constitutional rights card, and they’ll be off the hook. This is just one story, one town. How many other stories like this are going on around the country?

The story sure looks good during a campaign year, especially if you’re courting the illegal alien vote. And Obama is. He bought off these clowns, rewarding them for their crimes and ignoring the criminal behavior of New Haven’s mayor and his cronies. Obama is pulling these kinds of stunts while throwing the contraceptive curve ball at Republicans. Could it be working out more perfectly for Barry? That issue is not big enough to define a campaign. They can fix it when they get in. They had better stop allowing Barack Obama to dictate the issues and start focusing in him. Now the time is ticking. There was time before, but now it’s getting a little short. I have no confidence that any of the Republican candidates will bring up this issue, Fast and Furious, or any of the multitude of issues they could use to destroy Obama. February 15, and they haven’t begun, and it’s reflected in the polls. That’s bad news for all of us.
