With numbers like these, you would think a Republican was a shoo-in next year. You would think. A gasping economy, three wars, including the handing over of Libya to al-Qaeda, and high gas prices that will continue now that the Obama regime is balking over an oil pipeline from Canada that could potentially end our dependence on Middle East oil. You saw that right. Trillions in wasted spending, social justice that has divided this country in a way not seen in decades, an open border that assures the destruction of this country, and gun running to Mexican drug cartels for what reason-we can only speculate. Throw in Obamacare and the EPA, the global warming scam, turning sovereignty to the U.N., his blatant arrogance with his phony bus tour-well, I’m running out of room here, but you get the picture. Apparently, a growing majority of Americans are getting that same picture.

In my opinion, Rasmussen is the least biased poll out there. I say this, because they are consistently accurate with their results. Their predictions of victory margins for presidents is second to none. Gallup on the other hand is as erratic as the rest of them. Usually, they have Obama looking pretty good in the polls.

Not anymore. The latest Gallup poll has Obama’s approval at a paltry 38 percent. No president could expect to be reelected with numbers like that. At least not in theory. Rasmussen has him at 43 percent, and I think that’s probably more accurate. Nevertheless, those numbers should be alarming to Obama.

He does have a strategy though. Between union thugs operating voting machines to illegal aliens voting absentee, Obama will end up with votes that will never show up in a poll. How many remains to be seen, but even with the fraud, those numbers will be difficult to overcome.

Obama just doesn’t get it. Either that, or he does get it and doesn’t care. Just the other day he said that his actions on the economy don’t resonate with the unemployed. Poor, dumb Americans just don’t understand. I go back to the phony bus tour. Yes, he does think Americans are idiots. The door is open for the Republicans. If they would bring up just some of the issues I mentioned, Obama would be through long before next November.

I talked the other day about the Republican strategy, and how they are hamstringing themselves. At the same time, it looks to me like a Perry/Romney fight shaping up, and I’m not too enthused about either of them. Yes, just about anybody is better than Obama, and the desire to get him out of the White House is so strong, that even one of those two would be better. They may not be ideal, but we might be able to deal with them. We can’t deal with Obama. Has he ever listened to the people? Nothing but contempt.

My guess is we’ll never get a great candidate for president. Those guys (or gals) will be knocked into the ditch long before they get to Washington. That leaves the Republicans this time around, and right now, it looks pretty good for whoever gets that nomination. They won’t escape my scrutiny either, but with Obama…I can’t keep up with crap he’s pulling almost daily.

No matter who the Republicans throw at Barack Obama next year, they are likely to be the beneficiaries of the scheme to downgrade the energy consumption in America, and the resulting high gas prices. As if his handling of the economy weren’t bad enough, now he has this issue to deal with. On the other hand, he fooled the American people once. Can he do it again?

Just days after bashing a series of Republican bills that would accelerate the oil drilling permit process, Barack Obama has done a seemingly about face, and is now calling for more domestic drilling. Sure he’s calling for more drilling. A federal judge is forcing him to. But that’s not the story we’re getting from the Obama regime.

In his speech, he says he has plans to lease new areas in the Gulf of Mexico. Apparently, the federal judge didn’t feel those plans were on track. He also says he’s creating new incentives for the industry to develop their unused leases. Not sure what unused leases he’s referring to. Either did that federal judge apparently. What would the incentive be? Cutting those subsidies? Barry’s pal Jeff Immelt at GE might be able to use that money. I doubt there’s any talk of cutting tax breaks for them.

In fact, that is part of Obama’s comprehensive plan. There’s that word again. So there you have it. He’s going to think about leasing some more areas while imploring oil companies to invest, and then he’ll cut off the subsidies at the same time. The same subsidies those companies would dump into more drilling. After all, that was the intent in the first place.

So once again, Obama is as clear as a lead curtain to oil companies, talking about opening up more areas to domestic drilling while his own administration hacks defend the slow and stingy approval process. The oil companies will take what they can get, but at the same time, they won’t risk capital on something that may be a waste. Just ask Boeing about that. His balancing act of scaring up oil prices with a phony humanitarian mission in Libya combined with his permit foot dragging and illegal moratorium decrees domestically while feigning concern about oil prices should be entertaining, if nothing else.

This is campaign rhetoric. That bin Laden bump won’t last for long, and he will have an uphill battle next year, defending the indefensible. The last thing he needs is $5 gas. At least until December 2012.

Uh, huh. We’re right back to square one. Is Bin Laden dead or not? The evidence may be sitting on the desk of Barack Obama this very moment. We won’t see it though. Then again, it isn’t October 2012 yet, so never say never. Until then though, we’ll have to settle for Obama tearing open an unhealed wound, and pouring salt into it.

As you know, I believe OBL was killed in Afghanistan years ago. Using intelligence gathered from the comfort of my home, that was the conclusion I came to. I may be wrong, but it seems very plausible. Then we had the raid of May 1. The official story was that Navy SEALs stormed Bin Laden’s safe house and put two into his skull. Great. Let’s see it. America wants closure on this. America needs closure. Anyone alive that day in 2001 will have those images seared into their minds forever. I have a hard time looking at those images even today. If indeed Bin Laden was killed Sunday, I need to see it. Millions of Americans need to see it and thus close that chapter in life that has gone on way too long. Barack Obama has decided that we’ll just have to keep on waiting.

The White House has decided that no photographs-or video will be released of not only the raid, but the alleged burial at sea. Citing national security concerns, apparently Obama is worried about pissing off jihadists around the world. He wasn’t worried about that when he announced to the world that it was he that got Bin Laden. But to actually provide some kind of evidence would prove to be problem to him.

Maybe they’re waiting to get their story straight. Bin Laden was armed, then he wasn’t. He resisted, then he didn’t. He used a human sheild, then he didn’t. His wife was killed, then she wasn’t. They did watch the video, didn’t they? They did debrief those SEALs, didn’t they?

In the meantime, we are right back to where we started. The only proof this actually occurred is from Barack Obama himself. We can only assume he’s telling the truth in the absence of any evidence that this actually occurred. I’m not saying it didn’t. I have my doubts-serious doubts, but I’m leaving the door open to the possibility that I’m wrong. The actions of the White House just bolster my case though. Since when does Obama have national security concerns? I’ve detailed just the opposite on this blog. Now all of a sudden he has concerns?

If there is photographic evidence of what Obama is claiming, don’t be surprised to have it leaked some time next year. Especially if it looks like he’s going down to defeat. For now though, all we have is his word, which to me isn’t worth five cents.

Once again, Barack Obama has solidified his position as the nanny tyrant, making it clear that he will impose on America as he sees fit, no matter what the people think.

Obama lectured state governor’s today, telling them that yes, they can come up with their own health care plan as an alternative for Obamacare, but only if that plan is just like his. Confusing? Any alternative plan submitted by the states would have to fulfill the illegal mandates of Obamacare, a law that has already been struck down. If he thinks he can do an end around the court decisions by offering this non-concession, keep in mind that the law already allows states to do this, although they wouldn’t be able to to so until 2017, when the law would be so firmly entrenched that any alternative would be meaningless.

Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon and Massachusetts Republican Sen. Scott Brown have proposed moving this up three years, to 2014. There is some good and bad to this proposed legislation. First, if Obamacare is unconstitutional anyway, why submit any plan to Obama for inspection? Yes, Obama would have to inspect the plan and make sure that it is as bad as the unread legislation now on his books, but illegal in the eyes of the law. The good part is that states probably should come up with their own version of health care overhaul, but do it in a way that is the right of states to do so. Having Obama destroy the health care system by illegal law is not the way.

All the wrangling aside, what Republicans have to do is take the White House in 2012, and a few votes in the senate, and Obamacare dies. We’re that close. So even without the court decisions, this thing could be killed by a new president signing legislation to repeal it. The time is now though, because once this thing is implemented, trying to extract yourself from it will be very difficult. That was the design.

What got me is how Obama talked about this law as if it were legitimate, as if it hadn’t been struck down. He is once again showing his contempt for the law and ruling by fiat. He had a few other things to say today, sticking his nose into private state matters such as the collective bargaining debate in Wisconsin. Even as federal workers have no collective bargaining rights by law, he rallys for those same rights in individual states. In order to keep the best, he says. Collective bargaining is what locks in the worst. Not that there aren’t good union folks. Of course there are, but collective bargaining agreements lock in guarantees for the bad along with the good. That’s why the feds don’t have such agreements. He also made an appeal to fear by suggesting that police and firemen would leave if they weren’t rewarded properly for their work. Newsflash for Obama. Scott Walker excluded police and fire from his collective bargaining legislation.

Obama won’t let the facts get in the way though. He won’t let the law get in the way either for that matter. It was classic Obama on display today. Does anybody want four more years of this?

If you think Obama cares about the rights of gays, guess again. He could care less. This is a test case to see how far he can go in ignoring the rule of law and getting away with it. And maybe snap up a few votes before 2012 at the same time.

The Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), signed into law by Bill Clintion in 1996 basically affirms that the institution of marriage is between one man and one woman. Several lawsuits have been filed challenging the law, specifically section 3, where it states that the federal government will not recognize gay marriage in any matter of law. It is the responsibility of the Justice Department to defend federal law in court. Barack Obama has ordered the Justice Department not to defend this particular law, because he has unilaterally decided that it is unconstitutional.

That is correct. Obama has installed himself as a the Supreme Court Justice and ordered Eric Holder not to defend the law in court. This essentially leaves the law defensless in a court room. What would be your chances of winning a case without any defense at all? Eric Holder scrawled a letter to John Boehner, and made it clear that it is they that will define the law now.

“[T]he President and I have concluded that classifications based on sexual orientation warrant heightened scrutiny and that, as applied to same-sex couples legally married under state law, Section 3 of DOMA is unconstitutional,”

This issue goes far beyond gay marriage. That’s the straw man. Obama doesn’t care. This is about Obama nullifying the laws of the land as he sees fit. If he can get away with this, what else will he try? We’ve already seen him redefine federal law in his attack on Arizona. We’ve seen him ignore law with his illegal drilling moratorium in the gulf. We’ve actually seen this latest tactic before. His refusal to prosecute the Black Panthers after their felony voter initmidation antics turned out to be a success for Obama. He got away with it. It’s part of his selective civil rights defense. Had those been the White Panthers we would have seen a very different Justice Department. We can only speculate about other actions he has taken that will never make the headlines.

Obama isn’t sitting around to see what happens with DOMA though. After ignoring a judge’s ruling in Florida that invalidated his health care takeover, he had another goon judge in D.C. reinstate it. Her logic (sit down for this one), is that the government can force you to buy insurance, because deciding not to buy is a decision-an economic decision, and therefore regulatable under the commerce clause. Yes, doing nothing is economic activity. You can’t make this up.

So far, a little more than a few peeps from the Republicans. With such weak opposition, Obama is moving full steam ahead with his agenda. What’s next? Four year terms for the president? Will that be unconstitutional? Not observing sharia law? Refusing to join a union? Obama is ruling by fiat, and if Republicans can’t find a decent candidate that can take advantage of the campaign trail gifts Obama is presenting, then they don’t deserve the White House. The ramifications for the rest of us will be devastating. We may not survive another two years of Obama, much less six.

The Anti-Americanism of Barack Obama was apparent even during his campaign in 2008. When he took his messgage of change we can believe in to all 57 states, what he was saying was that America as we know it must be dismantled and rebuilt into a Marxist multicultural utopia, a complete disconnect with not only the American people, but with reality and the basics of human nature.

First on Obama’s agenda after being elected was to travel the globe and trash America and her values on foreign soil. This as he lauded the likes of the religion of peace, even going as far as to fictionalize the contributions of Islam to society. His Cairo speech was so full of inaccuracies, it’s surprising that even the lovelorn MSM didn’t call him on it.

Although his love for Islam (as verified by the Egyptian Foreign Minister) was obvious, his policies toward Muslim countries appear to be discombobulated at first glance. The regime jumped up and down with glee with the events in Egypt, but the same people stood and did nothing while an anti-American Iran gunned down their own people in the street. The opportunity to topple a soon to be nuclear Iran came and went, and as of now, their is no discussion on how to deal with them. Now we see the Muslim Brotherhood seeking a place at the table in Egypt, and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad still in power in Iran. This, while Obama continues to bash Israel for building settlements on their own land. The Obama foreign policy in the Middle East.

The Middle East isn’t the only place where the psychosis of Obama’s foreign policy has manifested. China, one of worst human rights violators on the planet routinely dictates the behavior of the administration. We saw that weeks ago when Hu Jintao visited the White House and left with thousands of jobs. No real talk of human rights or even economic issues that are punishing this country. In fact, China has been cleared of it’s obvious currency manipulation, and are currently cracking down on it’s own citizens who had the gall to attempt a Middle East style revolution in China. Not there, not for five minutes. And Obama is silent.

We again see his erractic foreign policy regarding immigration. While he tears into states that dare to try and defend themselves from the ravages of illegal immigration, he failed to pass an amnesty bill, even though he had the votes to easily make it happen. Of course, if he may have believed his own hype and thought he had at least four years to make it happen. He may also believe that a merging of the United States and Mexico into some kind of third world European Union is another option. Then again, he may have just bungled the agenda. All those things may be true. All that while unemployment remains stubbornly high. The only way to keep it in single digits is to creatively count the job seekers. The American people aren’t fooled though, because it is they that not being counted. Will he count the millions of new job seekers fast tracked into the country on an amnesty bill?

On the home front, Obama shows his contempt for the American people, the same contempt he relayed to the rest of the world on his apology tours early in the presidency. He rammed through a highly unpopular stimulus bill, along with an omnibus spending bill with so much pork it may have broken a record. Republicans, and the American people for that matter, were helpless to stop it. As feared, both turned out to be a detriment, not the magic wands they were touted to be. That was just the beginning of the Cloward-Piven assault. Obamacare, that even the CBO now concedes will cost money, not save as had been advertised, was next on the agenda. This nightmare was is so unpopular that town hall meetings sprung up across the country, despite the fact that union goons were sent in to intimidate American citizens. It didn’t work. It didn’t matter. The bill passed as Americans watched their will ignored once again.

Obama isn’t deviating from whatever script he has been given though. After bungling the BP oil spill response, all he could do is send down lawyers to see who he could sue. He then imposed an illegal moratorium on drilling that cost countless jobs. He won’t allow drilling anywhere else either. Gas prices are rising, just as he wants. He wants to take away tax incentives to oil companies. Gas prices will rise even more. Just as he wants. Remember a few years ago when gas was over $4 is only lament was that the prices rose so fast, not that they rose at all.

Whatever laws Obama is breaking is being addressed though. He’s had the opportunity to install two Supreme Court justices, one with an admittedly race-based mindset, and another that actually worked for him. Hardly and objective couple. But then Barack Obama isn’t looking for objectivity. He’s looking for social justice, an answer to a perceived whitey cabal, and someone who will tow the agenda line, no questions asked. He’s got both of those things in his SC picks.

The behind the scenes names are just as bad, and may even be worse though. We know that the State Department is stocked with terror sympathizers, the Justice Department prosecutes cases based on race-unless you happen to be white, and he has gaggle of czars that formulate policy that will be imposed on all of us. Congress has defunded those czars, but that budget hasn’t-and will not be signed by Obama, so it remains to be seen what happens with those unelected officials.

Did I miss something? I’m sure I did. If I can come up with this off the top of my head, imagine what else lurks in this regime. In fact, there are other things coming to mind as I write this. How about busing in union goons to Wisconsin to defy the will of the people? Once again, Obama shows his contempt for the American people. The fictitious climate change fraud. The United Nations coddling. The bailouts that he blames on George Bush, although it is he that implemented them. But then, he did say change, didn’t he? Well, here it is, textbook contempt for America.

He did a pretty good job of that on the homefront this week, and now he’s taken that show on the road.

Obama is in India right now, spending millions of dollars American cannot afford on a lavish trip that includes staying at the most expensive hotel in Mumbai, Taj Mahal, the site of a Muslim massacre where 31 innocent infidels were slain. al-Obama chose to stay there.

But in discussing jobs, this is where Obama went off the rails. Jobs are being shipped to India by American companies hand over fist. According to Obama though, that just isn’t the case. Once again, his arrogance showed, and he suggested that Americans were sterotyping India and that they just didn’t understand the reality.

Seeking to dismiss all “old stereotypes,” Obama said the relationship between the countries is “creating jobs, growth, and higher living standards in both our countries. And that is the truth.”

Funny how Obama had to make clear that he wasn’t lying. It won’t work though. He is lying. In fact, he made these statements as he sat surrounded by executives from American companies. Now what would those executives be doing there with Obama? They were helping him spin the fact that jobs are being outsourced to India at the expense of Americans, not as a benefit. He hand picked them come over there with him.

Obama also suggested that India was actually creating jobs in the United States.

“Just around this table you’re seeing billions of dollars in orders from U.S. companies, tens of thousands of jobs being supported,” he said. “We’re a potential that has barely been scratched.”

Not even Obama’s supporters believe that. Those orders are coming from companies that boast formerly American jobs. He knows that, but he wants you to believe something else. Sure jobs are being supported. Yes, when that minimum wage guy that sold you your Chinese made cell phone can’t help you, the call center in India is available. Of course Obama failed to mention that the call center used to be in the United States. So did manufacturing for that matter. Neither are likely to come back either. Yet Obama brags about some trade agreement that will allegedly create 54,000 jobs. No mention of the millions that have already been lost. It was an insult, but since we don’t understand the global economy like he does, we should just listen to him. And that’s the truth.

Unfortunately, we’re unlikely to get much help from Republicans on this issue. The false mantra of free trade has been championed by them for years. But there’s nothing free about competing with slave labor that will do your job for pennies per hour. Obama’s social justice scheme aims to balance that out though. There was very little talk about India’s trade and investment restrictions. As the standard of living rises in places like India, it will correspondingly be lower in the United States, because economies like India and China are built on U.S. wealth. Without the massive outsourcing of American jobs, India would collapse like a house of cards, as would China. Obama is going to make sure that won’t happen, and he is not likely to face Republican opposition on that part of his agenda.

So Obama once again has lied, insulted Americans, and guaranteed that outsourcing will continue unabated. No civilized country can compete with the kinds of wages that are paid in India. Expect the unemployment rate to remain high in the United States and expect the jobs that are available to pay less. After all, India can do it much cheaper. And if no Americans can be found to do it cheaper, then they’ll just ship in those that will.

While he still has the mainstream media slobbering all over him, the people are getting wise.

A new AP poll shows that 51% of voters say Obama has to go in 2012, including 47% of Democrats. This is a guy that had a 70% + approval rating when he was installed in office. But with a failed stimulus under his belt, Obamacare rammed down the throat of America against their will, and a post racial country torn in half, the magic has worn off.

Obama has described himself as a global citizen, and he has demonstrated that, to the detriment of America. His worldwide apology tours, his deference towards Islam, the coddling of the United Nations and all the goons they call their own, the Wall Street payoffs, the numbing corruption in the administration, the racism, the dubious czars, the Supreme Court picks that were just as unqualified as he is, the open borders mantra, and the attack on sovereign states that dare to oppose his agenda is not setting well with the American public. To say he’s done nothing would not be accurate. He’s done plenty, but none of it constructive.

Keep in mind that even when he got the nomination, half of the Democrats actually wanted Hillary Clinton. Not that she’s any prize, but if Obama is going to face Democratic opposition in 2012, don’t be surprised if it comes from her. After all, becoming president is her one and only goal, and it was an unqualified Barack Obama who took it away from her. It seems hard to believe that someone who scratched and clawed her way to the brink of victory would now be satisfied to be the servant of the one who pulled the rug out from under her. The presidential election is still a few years off, but look for manufactured dissent in the Democratic camp that will once again propel Clinton to another run at the office.

This time though, things will be quite different. Clinton’s popularity is essentially unchanged since 2008, while Obama is heading in the opposite direction. If he continues with his social justice agenda, you can be sure that more than 47% of the Dems will want him gone.

First things first though. There’s a pretty important election coming up next week, and that may well be the beginning of the end for Barack Obama. If all goes well there, then what the Republicans put up in 2012 will have to be much better that what they threw out in 2008. In all fairness though, nobody was going to beat Obama in 2008, or Clinton for that matter had she gotten the nomination. Anti-Bush hysteria was running wild to the point where John Edwards would have had a legitimate chance. It’s different now.

The United States is strong, but no country is strong enough to endure 8 years of a Marxist ideologue. Even if Obama is dumped in 2012, the damage he has, and will have caused will take a monumental effort to clean up. The government will be full of far left anti-American loons, we’ll be in debt likely forever, Sharia law may apply to you, and we may or may not have a Southern border. Two years is a long time in politics. For a guy that has stated that he was willing to be one term president, it’s a lifetime.

And no other faith even comes close. As Barack Obama’s popularity continues its decline, he remains wildly popular with his own.

A recent Gallup poll finds Muslims love Obama more than just about anyone else. Maybe not as high as those that voted for him based on skin color and nothing else, but as far as religions, Islam holds Obama in high esteem. I use the term religion loosely when referring to Islam, but for those that want to pretend that it is actually a religion, and not a violent cult, I can accommodate you for the purposes of this article. Muslims gave Obama a 78% approval rating, down from the 83% approval he had on inauguration day, but still a landslide in terms of popularity. That stands in stark contrast to the Mormons, who gave him a paltry 24% approval.

This should come as no surprise. 20% of the country know Obama is a Muslim, and the other 80% are either in denial, or waiting for further evidence. If they would do a little digging they would find that the evidence is in. Even without the Egyptian Foreign Minister validating the claims, Obama’s behavior was enough to convince millions. From his Cairo speech to his childhood, where he was confirmed to be a Muslim, there is nothing in Obama’s behavior to show that he ever left Islam. To parade Jeremiah Wright out as proof he was Christian was not only insulting, but further evidence of his contempt for America.

November is coming, and Obama and the Democrats are in trouble. The problem is that there are so many Americans that just do not pay attention that many think Obama is doing a good job under the circumstances. They have no idea what it means for Obama to be a Muslim. Freedom and the American way are in direct contrast to what Islam preaches. The more mosques that go up, and the more accommodations that have to be made for this faux religion, the more American freedoms will be stripped away. What other religion is out there that will sue to force accommodations regarding praying, attire, food, and even tolerance of other religions around them? None. For Muslims, there is only Islam, and the instructions in the Koran are clear: Kill the infidel where you find them. I don’t know about you, but my prophet isn’t a slave owning pedophile. Their prophet is.

So Barry, you say the Muslim call to prayer is the prettiest sound you ever heard? Folks, remind yourself what is behind that call.

Sometimes I like to note comments as I go, but this time I’ll try it off the top of my head. If I miss anything..fill in the blanks.

Obama is talking jobs now. He brags about how many jobs he’s saved, even after conceding that the 10% unemployment rate is hurting Americans. Must have taken some nerve to go down that road Barry. Well, he’s going to get some money back from the banks though. Where do you think the banks will get that fee money you’ll hit them with Barry? Yeah. Sure the banks were fouled up. With the feds forcing them to hand out ACORN propelled loans to those who couldn’t possibly pay them back. Sure, why not speculate with CDO’s? How about the national debt? Well, it’s Bush’s fault of course. Obama had no choice but to jack it up to the point where George Bush now looks like a miser. No easy task. George was a big spender, but…He talks about tax cuts. What he doesn’t mention is the huge tax increases he has yet to push through.

Now he’s talking economy. Now he’s talking some kind of task force with Kent Conrad at the helm. That’s right, Kent the crook. Maybe his buddy Dodd will have some input. Remember, Barry is cracking down on the banks. He has Kent Conrad on the front lines of an economic task force. That should instill confidence. And how about that health care? Maybe he didn’t make himself clear. Yes, maybe us stupid Americans just don’t get it, and he has to sit us down and explain what we just can’t figure out. The rank and file American wasn’t the only one being bashed. He hammered away at the Supreme Court for dumping McCain-Feingold. Funny, coming from a guy who’s own campaign finances raises many questions. He didn’t mention that. What he did mention was, I, I, I, I, I…you get the picture. I didn’t count.

In the end, it was all he same thing: obamacare, the economy (code: cap and trade), reaching out to Muslims, comprehensive immigration reform, and taxing the crap out those making $250k. Yes, same shit, different day.
