Just ask Angelo Mozilo. Not only did he destroy a company and toss a grenade onto the American economy, he profited handsomely for the effort.

Former Countrywide CEO and co-founder Anthony Mozilo cut a deal with the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC), bringing an end to the government’s case against the world-class fraudster. Mozilo has agreed to pay $67.5 million in restitution for his role in the Countrywide meltdown, and the subsequent explosion of the American real estate market.

Countrywide was handing out loans hand over fist to the most unqualified and dubious applicants.[column width="47%" padding="6%"] Applicants were poorly screened, or in some cases not screened at all, and loans were handed out to those who could not possibly afford a home, even under the best terms. Add adjustable rate mortgages to the mix and you had a formula for implosion. And implode the company did.

Like dominoes loans were being defaulted on and Countrywide was unable to cover their losses. As the meltdown occurred, Mozilo was assuring investors the everything was fine with the company and to just keep investing. Meanwhile he was unloading $139 million of his own stock, because he knew the truth. When all was said and done, investors were devastated and the bailed out Bank of America snapped up Countrywide.

The SEC came after Mozilo and his goons, and the result was the $67.5 million settlement. Lets do some math. Mozilo dumped $139 million in stock before the company crashed. He was fined by the SEC $67.5 million. On my calculator, that leaves $71.5 million in Mozilo’s pocket. But wait, it gets even better. It turns out that Mozilo doesn’t have to pay back anything.

But $25 million of Mozilo’s restitution will come from an escrow fund the company set up to cover shareholder litigation and Mozilo has no obligation to pay the remaining amount, according to the settlement agreement.

[/column] [column width="47%" padding="6%"]That’s right, and Bank of America will pick up the rest. That means that Mozilo destroyed a company, cost numerous job losses, wiped out investors, and helped tank the greatest economy on earth, and he walks away scot free with $139 million in his pocket. Keep in mind that was just the stock he had at the time. That does not included any past profits he made while party was rolling.

How can this be? How can some somebody that committed fraud on a Madoffian scale just walk away? Maybe he had a little help from congress. We know that senator Chris Dodd was getting sweetheart real estate deals from Mozilo. Not the subprime junk that everyone else got, but congressional quality deals. Kent Conrad was a friend of Angelo as well. Now Mozilo walks away from this mess without a scratch. Put 2 and 2 together. There were no consequences for Mozilo, as there were none for his pals Dodd and Conrad. They should all be in jail, yet Mozilo sips champagne on his yacht, and the other two are busy running the country into the ground. Yes, crime does indeed pay, if you know the right people.

Hard to beat someone who is cheating, but there are a few in Washington that are trying anyway.

Just days after an activist judge restored funding to ACORN using the false premise of bill of attainder the Government Accountability Office will now be launching their own investigation. In theory, this should fix it. Reps. Lamar Smith (R-Texas) and Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) made the announcemnt. That man Issa again. Of course, this investigation will be made in conjunction with the executive branch’s Inspector General. How do you think that will work out? After all, that IG doesn’t want to get fired…as well.

That’s why Issa is demanding that the FBI get involved. The only way to really bring the hammer of the law down is to have law enforcement getting involved. The powers that be will probably block any such investigation. That may be the only hope though. Certainly, Eric the coward Holder won’t investigate. In addition, even if the FBI did the work and found (without a whole lot of work necessary) that ACORN did indeed engage wrongdoing, what are the odds that the Justice Department would even allow federal charges to be brought?

This is a step though. At least there are those that haven’t forgotten what ACORN is, and how they are draining federal coffers to continue as the organized crime organization that they are.

This activity has been known for a while, but with the upcoming amnesty push it is worth bringing to the forefront once again.

The almost non-existent Southern border, the one that Chuck Schumer says is secure, is bringing more than good folks that just want to work. Drug cartels have entrenched themselves in the United States, and if hawking their drugs to American citizens and committing other crimes, up to and including murder wasn’t enough, they now are emboldened to take over entire cities. With the money these cartels have, they are now influencing public officials in various cities across the United States, thus far mostly in the Southwest. From funding campaigns for sympathetic candidates to outright bribery, the cartels have the money-and the muscle to make it happen.

Tom Tancredo talked about this years ago. It fell upon deaf ears. Cartels are going in and basically annexing small cities and using it to launder their dirty money and have favorable laws passed for their various activities. Sure, there are those that would sell their souls to the highest bidder, but what of the decent, or at least somewhat ethical politicians? How would they say no to these cartels? What would be the consequences? Use your imagination.

Even with the specter of drug cartels running American cities, the amnesty push is on the way. This problem is not even being addressed except as an ordinary law enforcement issue. These cartels plan to target any law enforcement that stands in their way too. Killing cops, trafficking drugs, child prostitutes and terrorists, kidnapping for ransom and owning American politicians is not even part of the amnesty debate. In fact, congress gutted funds for the mandated border fence, and what is there now is basically scrap metal for the entrepreneurs on the other side. Mexico doesn’t want help though. They just want money. And they are getting it. So are the cartels. Hardly a week goes by that yet another story of corrupt law enforcement comes out of Mexico. Yes, the United States is helping to fund that corruption. The cartels are winning. The CIA put Mexico right up there with Iraq as the biggest security risk to the United States. But the United States stands there like Baby Huey, seemingly oblivious to the danger the country is in. How could an amnesty advocate defend this? They’ll play the race card. Get ready for the straw man.

What to do? Complain to your local elected officials? They may already be bought off.

Not the videos we’ve seen; this is new stuff. The criminal organization known as ACORN has thus far survived due to the inaction of Congress and the administration that is so intertwined with community organizing thugs that you can barely tell them apart. Eric Holder hasn’t even thought about an investigation. Harry Reid wants to get to other matters-like bankrupting the United States and ramming a single payer system down your throat. Well, ACORN would like to get in on that America destruction party as well. If that party has to go through Andrew Breitbart, it will never happen.

It’s well know what ACORN is. From voter fraud, to strong arm community organizing tactics that convinced banks and other lending institutions to hand out loans they had to have known would never be paid back. Makes you wonder how severe those tactics were. Then came the damning report from Darrell Issa that chronicled the details of ACORN fraud and thuggery. But not until two college kids, James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles, came up with their bombshell videos that graphically showed ACORN corruption at its most ingrained, did Washington do anything to address the womb of corruption that Barack Obama sprang from.

The House cut off funding for ACORN, and the Senate followed suit shortly after. Even in the face of clear incriminating evidence though, ACORN still has their supporters in Washington. They have one in the White House. But if Andrew Breitbart has anything to say, it won’t matter who they have covering for them. Did I say bombshell earlier? As if the videos already released weren’t damaging enough for ACORN, Breitbart claims that there are more videos, and it compromises more than ACORN. Breitbart has put Attorney General Eric Holder on notice: either conduct a valid investigation into ACORN, or these videos come out…right around election time next year. Breitbart must feel he has some crippling evidence or he wouldn’t issue this ultimatum to Holder. There still has been no official investigation initiated, but if or when there is, Breitbart is willing to turn these other tapes over as part of the package of evidence.

Breitbart may have to show his hand next year and roll out those tapes around election time. Barack Obama had admitted that he is willing to be a one term president if he can ram his agenda through. He’ll only need one term. We don’t know what other tapes Breitbart has, but so far, it hasn’t seemed to ruffle any feathers in Washington. Well Andrew, if they want to play hard ball, then let’s play. Stay tuned.

And why not? Obama and ACORN are joined at the hip.

David Barron, the acting assistant attorney general for the Office of Legal Counsel channeled a memorandum that basically argues ACORN is still entitled money that was agreed upon before Congress cut them off. The government is current operating under what is called a Continuing Resolution, which amounts to a payday loan until your next paycheck. The Justice Department argues that the ACORN funding ban only applies to the current CR, and not to any agreements previous.

Let’s get real. ACORN isn’t entitled to a damn thing. First of all, only Congress can decide if they get money, not the Justice Department. It’s no surprise that the JD would try though. After all, they are an organ of Obama. This brings up an interesting, if not disturbing scenario. Does Congress cave and hand our money over to ACORN? The argument that a criminal organization is entitled to anything is ridiculous. Of course they can cut off funding. Not only that, their assets can be frozen pending investigation. What are the odds that his administration and their kool-aid drinking minions do anything that resembles an investigation? We know that California attorney general Jerry Moonbeam Brown is more interested in going after James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles for “illegally” recording the crooked ACORN employees that he is the crooks themselves. The Justice Department (a book of corruption unto themselves) think stick wielding Black Panthers at polling places is all right. Who will investigate not only ACORN, but their enablers as well? Is there a mechanism that can keep these criminal elements in line? If there is, I don’t see it. And I certainly don’t hear it, save for a few hero citizens, and a few…a very few in Washington.

They say crime doesn’t pay. The Obama Justice Department is trying to prove what a myth that actually is.

How do these people get elected? Instead of invoking the RICO statute and bringing ACORN up on criminal charges, they are instead being rewarded with potential czar status. This is tantamount to allowing CAIR to dictate Homeland Security policy, or allowing The National council of La Raza to mandate Border Patrol policy. Ridiculous on its face, and at worst, treason. And I don’t use that term lightly.

The House Financial Services Committee passed an amendment to H.R. 3126, a bill that would create a consumer financial protection agency allowing groups such as ACORN to have an advisory role in regulating financial institutions. Yes, ACORN, their numerous front groups, and ACORN-like groups would all have a crack at this financial death panel, despite the fact that ACORN is so corrupt that the only thing left to do is prosecute. Won’t happen here. The amendment was put forward by none other then Maxine Waters (D-CA). You remember Maxine, she’s the one that let slip out that it was the intention of the Dems to nationalize the oil companies. Remember that? She also raided the treasury to bail out a bank her husband ran into the ground-issuing bad loans to the very people ACORN pressured other institutions to give bad loans to. She also admitted that Congress in general were a bunch of crooks, while unsuccessfully trying to defend fellow scumbag Charlie Rangel. She also…wow, she also praised Franklin Raines and his running of Fannie Mae at the same time that quasi-government agency was in financial flames. The entire real estate market was about to collapse, and Waters not only refused to acknowledge anything was wrong, but chastised those that even suggested a problem.

Now the Democrats want to give unprecedented advisory power (hmm, advisor. Where have we heard that) to the very organizations that contributed to the real estate collapse in the United States. ACORN had already strong-armed many of the institutions that would be subject to this legislation, using the Community Redevelopment Act as a weapon to force bad loan decisions. In addition, institutions subject to this act have paid ACORN millions of dollars in various forms. Use your own judgment as to why they would <del datetime="2009-10-24T11:48:52+00:00">fund</del> payoff ACORN. So that’s Maxine’s plan. After being exposed for the massive corrupt organization that they are, Waters wants to basically integrate ACORN into the federal government.

And she got the votes. It hasn’t gone to the floor for a full house vote, but considering what the house of un-representatives has already passed… The House Financial Services Committee has its share of goons, so no wonder something like this would come oozing out of them. They boast ethno hoods Luis Gutierrez and Joe Baca, two virlently anti-American reconquistas that would like nothing more than to see America’s destruction. Did I mention treason earlier? How about Keith the Muslim Ellison. Does he reflect your values? Mine either. Alan Grayson? The one that said the Republican health care plan was to let you die? That Alan Grayson.

Given that this is attached to legislation, and not a bill unto itself, if H.R. 3126 passes, it will likely pass with this amendment. That could change, but considering the goons in Washington right now, I wouldn’t count on it.

Millions of Americans out of work and Maxine Waters is in Congress. Is that fair? Life ain’t fair.

There is so little information on this story that most of it is speculation, but what is known looks very suspicious.

Mexican human right activist Gustavo de la Rosa Hickerson was arrested by ICE agents after he crossed the border to visit friends in El Paso. Somehow, Border Patrol agents recognized this guy and pulled him to the side and arrested him. According to his lawyer, Carlos Spector, ICE wants Hickerson to seek asylum. ICE says he expressed fear that his life, and that of his family may be in danger. Hickerson claims to have evidence of 170 acts of kidnapping, torture, and murder by the Mexican army, the very army dispatched to take on the drug cartels. It would make sense then, wouldn’t it? The Mexican government, so corrupt and infiltrated with thugs is utterly incapable of providing any protection for this guy, so when Hickerson crossed into the U.S. they basically took him into protective custody.

One problem. This guy didn’t want to seek asylum according to Spector, and he certainly doesn’t want to sit in jail. So here is the speculation. Why arrest him? If they wanted to provide protection for him, certainly they could provide a safe house for him and his family. But it looks like they just took him, and his family remains in Mexico. Why nab this guy? Does he have information that would make just about any American balk at the thought of erasing the border? He certainly does. Does he have information showing the depth of corruption in the Mexican government? Looks that way. Has the documentation Hickerson compiled a blow to the upcoming amnesty push? You better believe it. Would the information this guy has be a black eye to the Obama administration who has pledged millions more American tax dollars to a corrupt and criminal Mexican government to fight the drug war with the cartels? It’s a poorly kept secret that elements within the Mexican army are actually an arm of the cartels. Obama pledged our money none the less.

We can only speculate, but it seems strange that a guy with documented evidence of violence and corruption has been tossed in jail, while the very perpetrators of crimes he alleges still roam Mexico. Is ICE trying to silence this guy, or are they really looking out for him? It seems to me that if my life was in danger, one of last places I would look for refuge is in jail. Unless he’s in solitary, he’s in more danger behind bars than out in the street. If they are just trying to shut him up, we know that ICE is just taking orders from higher up. How high?

And not a peep from national NAACP leaders. It’s bad enough that whitey is accused of everything that is wrong with anything. The NAACP has taken it further and is now whining about what they think whitey might do.

Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon is up to her neck in corruption and faces trial in November on various charges, including illegally accepting gifts and stealing from the poor. Yes, stealing from the poor. Dixon, who is black, will most likely be removed from office <del datetime="2009-10-16T05:56:16+00:00">if</del> when convicted. This is what the NAACP is soiling their diapers over. They think that possibly, maybe, whitey Gov. Martin O’Malley may be able to pick her replacement. They fear that he may pick a white person, and they are absolutely up in arms about it. If there ever was a facade of racial tolerance with these goons, it sure isn’t there now.

Marvin L. Cheatham, the president of the Baltimore Chapter of the NAACP is so fearful that whitey may end up as mayor, that he has petitioned state lawmakers to strip the governor of the authority to replace the crooked Dixon. He wants to make damn sure whitey doesn’t become mayor. That is the entire focus of his rage. Apparently, this racist idiot didn’t realize that Dixon herself was appointed by the city council, after then mayor O’Malley was elected governor. The laws haven’t changed Cheatham. The blundering fool vomited his racist spew none the less.

“Our concern is who would the governor appoint?” Cheatham said. “Here you have a predominantly African-American city. What if the governor appointed somebody white? … Would he appoint someone Irish to be the mayor?”

What if he did, jackass? How did Dixon do serving her constituents? She ripped them off. Is that what you want Cheatham? Another scumbag crook to rip off the African American community you claim to care so much about? As long as it isn’t whitey ripping them off eh Cheatham?

Imagine a white man standing up and whining to state government in an effort to block a possible black mayoral choice? What do you think the reaction would be? You know what it would be. The hoods and sheets would be out, and that person would be finished-in whatever career they happened to have had.

Racism is alive and well in the United States, but I don’t see it coming from whitey. How could it? What white public figure could actually get away with that kind of blatant racism? They couldn’t.

Now this pack of criminals aren’t even bothering to hide the fact that they’re criminals. If you acted anything like a member of congress, you’d be in jail.

Tax cheat criminal Charlie Rangel got a vote of confidence from the temporarily overstocked Democrat house when a Republican resolution to dump him failed on a vote, as usual, along party lines. That means as Rangel continues to cheat on his taxes with impugnity, he will continue to write tax laws for you. And this disgusting pig has come up with some whoppers already. You would think that Rangel would be a pariah at this point, a political liability, but it seems like just the opposite is true.

Of course, who would come to the defense of Rangel besides yet another criminal? Maxine “socialize the oil companies” Waters, who has her own skeletons to deal with reasoned that Rangel should be given some slack, basically, because congress is just a bunch of bumbling fools and shit happens. That was my take.

“What happens is, unfortunately with the requirements for disclosure that we all have, mistakes are made,” she said.

That was my take. She also suggested that Rangel was just the tip of the iceberg, and there are all kinds of crooks trolling the halls of congress. She should know. Remember, Waters was the hag that funneled taxpayer money to a bank that her husband ran into the ground. The scheme benefited her husband, and of course, her personally. Yes, she wants you to think that fat ass Rangel just made several million dollars of honest mistakes over the course of years. As far as we know, is still making those “honest mistakes.”

My question is, how did these people get elected in the first place? What qualities did they exhibit that caused voters to choose them as representatives? It had to be ACORN registrations and Diebold voting machine fraud. It had to be. Nobody is stupid enough to knowingly vote for these cretins…are they?

And the hits just keep on coming for ACORN. While some in congress seal their political fate by siding with the mind-bendingly corrupt organization, anybody, or any entity with any hint of an I.Q. is running as far away from ACORN as possible.

Just weeks after the census bureau dropped their near disastrous scheme of allowing ACORN to conduct he census, and the congress approving an amendment to cut off all funds to ACORN, along with the IRS cutting ties with the the fraudsters, now Bank of America has announced that they too will cut ties with ACORN.

Since the 1990′s, Bank of America has funneled millions of dollars to one of ACORN’s many splinter groups to counsel first time home buyers on how to essentially deal with a mortgage they couldn’t afford. ACORN Housing was giving advice to home buyers that obtained subprime loans doled out by such entities as…Bank of America, and we’ve all seen the videos on what exactly that advice consisted of. What took Bank of America so long to get a clue is another question, but with their history we should be just be happy they took any action at all.

This just goes to show though just how far the tentacles of ACORN reach. The census, the IRS, your tax dollars, corporate welfare, and the list no doubt goes on. The secrecy of the ACORN’s dealings will make it difficult to find all the enablers, but at the same time there will be those, such as Bank of America that will step forward and cut ties before they are exposed by other means. A smart move by B of A. Now if they would just stop with the drug cartel money laundering paradise know as safe send they would really make some progress.
