It’s safe to say that Barack Obama would never sign an executive order like this. As a result, there will likely be consequences. So far, we have exactly one Republican in the United States that is willing to stand up to Obama and his country destroying, illegal actions. A member of congress? A candidate for higher office? No, just the governor of a state that is inundated with the punishing effects of illegal immigration. What else could you expect from a governor who has had every other option ripped away by a federal government headed by a criminal that shouldn’t be here himself? That’s what Jan Brewer is up against, and all she can do is play the cards dealt to her. She played a few today.
When the Supreme Court fabricated unprecedented logic to gut SB 1070, Barack Obama thought he had it made. When Obama decreed amnesty for every illegal alien under 30, under the guise of a bastardized Dream Act, he thought he had it made. When he ordered ICE to not cooperate with Arizona on immigration matters, that seemed to be the end of it. Arizona, and eventually the rest of America was finished. Well, that may be the case realistically, but the fight isn’t over. Arizona governor Jan Brewer has used some executive power of her own, but the difference here is, what she did was legal.
Brewer signed an executive order that forbids the dreamers, those that Obama has given amnesty to, from getting a driver’s license or receiving any public benefits in Arizona.
“They are here illegally and unlawfully in the state of Arizona and it’s already been determined that you’re not allowed to have a driver’s license if you are here illegally,” Brewer said in a press conference. “The Obama amnesty plan doesn’t make them legally here.”
Of course, you can expect a slew of lawsuits and more than likely a visit from the Justice Department. Maybe Eric Holder will bring a few AK-47’s with him since he’s in the neighborhood.
Brewer understands that not only are these folks not legal, but even lining up for these work permits doesn’t guarantee we will know who they are. Fake documents are a dime a dozen and is a hot industry in the illegal alien community. Unfortunately for U.S. citizens, those fake documents frequently have very real social security numbers on them and more than one American life has been turned upside down as a result. Brewer isn’t even going to go to that level. If you’re illegal, you get no license and no benefits. Those things are bought and paid for by American citizens and Brewer wants to make sure it stays that way.
Not if the illegal alien lobby has their way. Shortly after the executive order was signed, dozens of bought-and-paid-for goons hit the streets in protest. Getting amnesty they weren’t entitled to wasn’t good enough. Now they want benefits set aside exclusively for American citizens and legal immigrants, those few that actually did it the right way. They’re demanding these things.
It has gotten to that. Illegal aliens brazenly demanding chunks of our country, while we the citizens are stifled from saying or doing anything. Just opening your mouth has you branded as a racist, and if you happen to be a business owner, following real immigration law could net you a visit from Holder’s Justice Department. Gibson Guitar will tell you how that would work.
One Republican in the entire country. That won’t cut it. Brewer’s idea ironically would go a long way to actually solving the problem. Cut off the magnet. Mitt Romney has talked about that, but that’s it. Just talk. He won’t do anything, and in fact is avoiding the issue as much as possible so as not to piss off the Latino vote that he isn’t getting anyway. Typical Republican behavior. That leaves Jan Brewer to stand alone against an onslaught from not only across the border, but from Washington as well. Maybe she should run for president. She seems like the kind of smart, tough and fearless candidate that this country desperately needs. Hey Republican governors, hey Washington, will somebody stick up for Jan Brewer? Somebody? Anybody?
