With the campaign season starting heat up (somewhat), absent from the discussion-and almost certainly won’t be brought up is the number of illegal aliens voting in this country. We know it’s occurring; I’ve documented various episodes on this blog. If there’s any good news it’s that we dodged a bullet-for now. Hundreds of potential Obama voters were making their way to the United States but were sidetracked along the way. For now anyway.
While the United States stands idly by and watches millions of illegal aliens breach the border, Mexico has a very different immigration policy. Assuming an illegal alien in Mexico survives the experience of being captured by Mexican authorities, you can be sure they won’t be staying in Mexico very long. That is unless they spend some time in a Mexican prison. Fortunately for the gaggle of illegals caught in Mexico yesterday, the cache was so big that Mexican authorities just had to brag, which probably saved them from some very unpleasant fate. The fight for civil rights in this country was hard, it was lengthy, and at times very bloody. Those that were in the trenches during those days have much to be proud of. At the same time, it must be very hard to watch all their hard work degenerate into a circus of hate, the very thing being fought against. America’s pastime blackened it’s eye today, and thousands of fans were forced to witness the fiasco. Continue reading Major League Baseball Makes a Mockery of Civil Rights

No matter who the Republicans throw at Barack Obama next year, they are likely to be the beneficiaries of the scheme to downgrade the energy consumption in America, and the resulting high gas prices. As if his handling of the economy weren’t bad enough, now he has this issue to deal with. On the other hand, he fooled the American people once. Can he do it again?
Just days after bashing a series of Republican bills that would accelerate the oil drilling permit process, Barack Obama has done a seemingly about face, and is now calling for more domestic drilling. Sure he’s calling for more drilling. A federal judge is forcing him to. But that’s not the story we’re getting from the Obama regime. Continue reading An Obama About Face on Domestic Drilling?

The Republican 2012 presidential field looks to be crowded this year, and no clear front runner has emerged as of yet. Maybe because of the potential crowd, including those that have yet to commit, or maybe…the media is choosing candidates for us, and as in the past, those candidates are less than exciting. I suppose it could be my paranoia and distaste for the mainstream media that causes me to float this conspiracy theory. Yeah, maybe it’s just me.
The 2008 Republican field brought us the likes of Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson, Rudy Guiliani, and a few others that the media made sure never had a chance. Tom Tancredo comes to mind. Once those candidates saw that there was no way they could defeat Barack Obama-or any other Democratic candidate for that matter, they dropped out of the race, leaving the sputtering John McCain campaign to be the sacrificial lamb. And sacrificial he was. He never had a chance. Even Republicans weren’t happy with him, but in the end, he was the only one that stayed in. McCain didn’t put up much of a fight. In fact, none of them did. So what are the prospects for 2012? Continue reading Candidates Being Chosen for the People?
